국문 초록

이 연구는 교육대학원의 교사양성교육에 초점을 두어 지금까지 제기된 문제점들을 검토하고 발전적인 방향을 모색하기 위하여, 근본적으로 성찰해야 할 과제를 제시하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 교육대학원을 둘러싼 환경의 변화, 교육대학원의 현황 및 최근의 변화를 살펴보고, 교육대학원 교사양성교육의 실태와 문제점을 선행 연구 결과와 설문조사 결과를 중심으로 제시하였다. 교육대학원은 중등교사와 비교과교사 양성의 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있지만, 양성 기능과 재교육 기능의 혼재로 정체성이 분명치 않고, 교사 양성에 있어서 주변적인 기관에 머물러 있다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로, 교육대학원 교사양성교육의 발전을 위하여 근본적으로 검토해야 할 사항들로 교육대학원 교사양성교육의 필요성, 교사양성에서 교육대학원의 역할, 교사양성교육의 질 관리 등을 논의하였고, 발전을 위한 방향으로 교사교육자의 정체성 확립, 전문성 개발, 정책적 지원을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the issues and present fundamental tasks for developing teacher education in the graduate school of education. The recent changes in the environment surrounding the graduate school of education, the current status and changes of the graduate school of education were analyzed, and the state and problems of teacher education in the graduate school of education were presented by literature review and survey. The graduate school of education has an important role for educate secondary and nonsubject teacher, but identity is unclear due to mixture of pre-service teacher education and in-service teacher education, and stay for minor institution in teacher education. Based on these results, the tasks for developing teacher education in the graduate school of education were discussed as follows; why do we need teacher education in the graduate school of education?, what is the role of the graduate school of education for teacher education? how do we control quality of teacher education? As a direction for development, teacher educators should confirm identity and develop capacities, and relevant policies should be provided are suggested.
