한국어 학습자의 논증 텍스트에 나타난 논증 도식 양상 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 논증 도식의 운용이 텍스트의 질적 수준에 영향을 줄 것이라는 문제의식을 바탕으로 외국인 한국어 학습자가 생산한 논증 텍스트를 분석하여 텍스트의 수준 별 논증 도식의 양상을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 Kienpointner(1992)의 7가지 논증 도식을 이용하여 상위 집단과 하위 집단에서 논증 도식이 나타난 횟수와 논증 도식의 출현 양상을 중심으로 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 상위 집단과 하위 집단은 논증 도식의 출현 횟수와 논증 도식의 유형별 사용, 그리고 표현 방법에도 차이가 나타남을 확인할 수 있었다. 하위 집단의 학습자들은 상위 집단에 비해 다양한 논증 도식을 활용하지 못하는 것으로 나타났는데 특히 하나의 논증 도식을 사용한 후 다른 층위의 논 증 도식으로 발전시키는 데 어려움을 겪는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 내용을 중심으로 논증 텍스트의 교수와 관련하여 효과적인 논증 텍스트의 생산 전략의 습득을 위하여 학습자들에게 논증 도식에 관한 교육이 필요하다. 또한 학습자의 쓰기 발달 수준에 맞춰 논증 도식을 지도할 필요가 있다. 논증 텍스트의 논증 도식 분석 작업은 논증 텍스트의 생산에 어려움을 겪는 외국인 학습자를 위한 교육 내용의 기초 자료를 제공할 수 있으며 논증 텍스트 평가의 준거 마련에도 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of the working aspect of argumentative text’s argumentative scheme by level of text, through the aspect analysis of argumentative scheme in argumentative texts witten by Korean learners. This study based on the critical mind that management of argumentative schemes affects texts level of quality, this study tried to examine the aspect of argumentative schemes of respective text types by analyzing argumentative texts produced by foreign Korean learners. This study s argumentative schemes are Kienpointner(1992) s seven argumentative schemes and comparative analysis has been done by referring to the number of argumentative schemes in top and bottom groups and the appearance aspect of the schemes. As a result, top and bottom groups differ in the number of argumentative schemes appearance, the use of respective argumentative scheme type, and the method of expression. Bottom group learners were unable to take advantage of a variety of argumentative schemes in comparison with top group learners. In particular, the bottom group had difficulty in developing an argumentative scheme into a different level of scheme. When referring to this finding, it is necessary to have an argumentative schemes education designed for learners for them to achieve an effective acquisition of argumentative texts production strategy. Furthermore, argumentative schemes should be taught accordingly to learners development level of writing skills. This study proved that the bottom group learners only use limited argumentative schemes. Operation methods which could expand and specify such limited schemes should be instructed accordingly to learners levels. Most of all, the learners should receive guidance regarding method of use based on the linguistic elements appearing in argumentative schemes and education should be focused on how linguistic expressions affect the developmental style of writing.
