국문 초록

최근 대학 교육에서 SNS를 활용하여 협력학습을 효과적으로 이끌어내기 위한 연구들이 개진되고 있다. 그러나 학습 효과나 만족도 등의 측면에서 항상 일치된 결과를 보여주고 있지는 않다. 교육적 효과는 SNS 활용에 미치는 학습환경, 교수자 그리고 학습자와 같은 구성 요소들의 긴밀한 상관관계로부터 나오는 것이기 때문이다. 본 연구의 목적은 SNS를 협력학습에 활용했을 때, 학습자의 특성에 따라 협력학습 과정에 대한 만족도를 어떻게 예측하는가를 밝히는데 있었다. 본 연구에서 협력학습에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예측했던 학습자 특성요인으로는 성격 특성으로서의 외향성의 정도, 사회적 친밀감, 협력 역량의 정도, 그리고 협력학습에서 SNS 활용에 대한 선호도와 협력학습을 위한 SNS 활용 빈도였다. 다중회귀분석 결과로 학습자들은 SNS를 협력학습에 자주 활용할수록, 사회적 친밀감이 높을수록, 협력역량이 높을수 록 협력학습에 대해 더 만족하는 것으로 나타났으며, 내향적 성격특성을 가진 학습자가 외향적 성격 특성을 가진 학습자에 비해 협력학습에 대한 만족도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 협력학습에 SNS를 활용하는 것을 선호하는지의 여부는 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

SNS is known to have a great potential as a direct medium for improving collaborative learning. Recent studies revealed that the utilization of SNS has many positive effects on the attitude, satisfaction, and learning achievement of students. However, the effect of utilization of SNS does not lead to the similar positive results. This is because the effect on education is originated from the close correlation of educational constituents including the SNS environments, lecturers and students. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the effect of using SNS on the learners’ satisfaction in the process of collaboration depending on different learners’ characteristics. The learners’ characteristics include different learner’s personality types, social intimacy, collaboration skills that are expected to affect collaboration process, preference for using SNS in collaboration, and frequency of SNS utilization. This study analyzed the effect of the learners’ characteristics on the collaboration satisfaction utilizing SNS. It was found that the students were more satisfied with the collaboration when they have higher level of collaborative skills, higher level of social intimacy, and more use of SNS in the collaboration process. In addition, the satisfaction of introverted learners for the collaboration was lower when compared to that of extroverted learners. Lastly, the preference for using SNS in the collaboration process did not exhibited meaningful effects on statistics.
