국문 초록

이 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 부부갈등 및 결혼만족도와 어머니의 우울이 시간의 경과에 따라 안정적으로 지속되는지를 밝히고, 이 세 변인 사이의 종단적 인과관계를 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 육아정책연구소의 한국아동패널의 3차년도(2010년)부터 5차년도(2012년)까지의 3개년도 종단자료를 자기회귀교차지연 모형을 적용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 3차년도부터 5차년도까지 세 시점에 걸쳐 이전 시점의 아버지 부부갈등, 결혼만족도, 어머니의 우울은 각각 이후 시점의 아버지의 부부갈등, 결혼만족도 그리고 어머니의 우울에 유의하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 이전 시점의 아버지의 부부갈등은 이후 시점의 아버지의 결혼만 족도와 어머니 우울에, 이전 시점의 아버지의 결혼만족도는 이후 시점의 아버지의 부부갈등에, 이전 시점의 어머니 우울은 이후 시점의 아버지의 부부갈등과 결혼만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 부부갈등은 어머니 우울의 직접적인 원인 변인임과 동시에 어머니의 우울은 아버지가 지각하는 부부갈등 및 결혼만족도의 직접적인 원인임을 의미하며, 특히 아버지의 부부갈등과 어머니의 우울은 지속적이고 안정적인 상호 인과관계에 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the longitudinal reciprocal relationships among father’s parental conflict, marital satisfaction, and maternal depression using autoregressive cross-lagged model. Five waves(2008-2012) of panel data from the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education were analyzed in this study. The major findings are as follows. First, father’s parental conflict, marital satisfaction, and maternal depression were significantly over time in the total 5 wave data. Second, father’s parental conflict had a statistically significant effect on father’s marital satisfaction and maternal depression, father’s marital satisfaction had a statistically significant effect on father’s parental conflict, but had not a statistically significant effect on maternal depression, and maternal depression had a statistically significant effect on father’s parental conflict and father’s marital satisfaction. These findings suggests that father’s parental conflict and father’s marital satisfaction can be evaluated differently depending upon maternal depression. The implication derived from the results, discussion for reciprocal relationship between father’s parental conflict and maternal depression.
