웰니스 관광시설 선정과 외국인환자 모객 간 상관관계연구

국문 초록

국내 외국인환자 수는 2016년 사드사태 이후 내림세를 보이다가 최근 복지부가 발표한「2018 외국인환자 현황」보도 자료에 의하면, 연간 40만 명에 이르르는 등 다시 증가세를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이런 가운데 한국관광공사는 2017년부터 웰니스관광 25선 및 33선을 차례로 선정하면서 의료관광산업의 활성화를 위해 복지부와 달리, 웰니스 적 접근을 시도하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 한국관광공사의 새로운 시도가 최근 국내 외국인환자 모객 증가에 영향요인이 되었는지와 그 관계정도를 파악해, 그 유의미성을 제시하고자 한다. 우선, 연구를 위해 수집한 자료들은 문화체육관광부와 한국보건산업진흥원, 복지부, 한국관광공사 등이 공식적으로 발표한 보고서와 보도 자료를 토대로 구축된 2차 자료이므로 해당 자료의 검증을 위해 일원배치 분석분석(One-way ANOVA)과 크론바하 알파계수(Cronbach s alpha)를 통해 변수의 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 이후 요인분석(EFA)을 통해 의료시설 대비 웰니스 시설물에 대한 요인설명력을 제시하였다. 결론적으로 ‘웰니스 요인’이‘의료관련 요인(=.999)’에 비해 외국인환자 모객 수와의 상관계수(Correlation Coefficient)가 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 나타났지만 의미 있는 변수 간 상관계수(=.736)을 나타내고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The number of foreign patients in South Korea has been on the decline since the THAAD crisis in 2016, but the latest report by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, titled 2018 Status of Foreign Patients, shows the number reaching 400,000 a year. Meanwhile, the Korea Tourism Organization selected 25 and 33 wellness tourism lines in turn from 2017 and tried to approach wellness in order to revitalize the medical tourism industry. Therefore, this study tries to find out whether the KTO s new attempt has been a factor in the recent increase in the number of foreign patients in Korea, and to present its meaning. First of all, the data collected for the study are secondary materials built based on reports and press releases officially released by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the KHIDI, the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the KTO. For verification of the data, the reliability of the variables was verified through one-way ANOVA and the Cronbach s alpha coefficient. Subsequent factors analysis (EFA) presented a factor description of wellness facilities relative to medical facilities. In conclusion, although the wellness factor was found to be relatively low in correlation coefficient with the number of foreign patients invited compared to medical factors (=.999), it was shown that the correlation coefficient between meaningful variables (=.736).
