온라인 학습환경에서 학습자 행태 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 온라인 교육환경에서 학습자들의 학습행태를 분석하고 학업성취도와 비교하여 상관관계를 알아보았다. 본 연구에는 K대학교 학생들이 참여하였고, 참여자들은 2018년 1학기에 개설된 온라인 강좌에 참여한 학생들이었다. 연구 참여자들은 2018년 1학기 온라인 강좌를 수강한 학생 316명으로, 3학점 전공교과목 1강좌에 참여한 82명의 학생과 교양선택 1학점 수강생 118명, 2학점 교양선택 수강생 116명으로 구성되었다. 온라인 강좌 학습자들의 학습행태를 분석하기 위하여 온라인 학습자들의 접속 횟수, 진도율, 과제제출 횟수, 부정행위 행동 수를 분석하였고, 학습성취도를 분석하기 위하여 온라인으로 실시한 중간고사와 기말고사 점수를 분석하였다. 아울러 연구참여자들을 대상으로 사이버 강좌에 대한 인식도 설문지를 작성하도록 하였다. 연구결과 온라인 강좌를 수강하는 학생들은 진도율 86.57퍼센트로 80퍼센트 이상의 학생들이 출석한 것으로 나타났다고, 진도율이 전공강좌와 교양강좌로 차이가 있는지 분석한 결과 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없었으나, 학년별로 분석한 결과 학년별로 강좌 진도율이 유의미하게 나타났다. 온라인 강좌 인식도를 분석한 결과, 평균 3.87로 전제적으로 높지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 온라인 강좌의 수강을 권유할 것이라는 문항의 평균이 3.50으로 가장 낮았고, 온라인 수업을 신청한 것을 후회하지 않는 다는 문항의 평균이 3.6으로 다음으로 낮았으며, 온라인 수업은 가치 있는 경험이었다는 문항의 평균 역시 3.68로 낮게 나타났다. 각 문항의 평균을 T-검정을 사용하여 강좌별로 분석한 결과 온라인 수업이 가치 있는 경험이었고 많은 지식을 습득하였으며, 수강을 후회하지 않는다는 항목의 평균이 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 온라인 학습환경에서 학습자들의 학습활동을 증진시키고 학업 성취도를 증진시킬 수 있는 방안이 제시되었다.

영문 초록

In this study, the learning behaviors of the students in online education environments were analyzed and the behaviors were compared with the academic achievement. In this study, the students of K university who took the online class in 2018 participated. The study participants consisted of 316 students from three classes; one major class and two liberal arts classes 82 students, 118 students, and 116 students selected. In order to analyze the learning behaviors of online learners, log-in frequencies, progress rates, class rolls, and absences were analyzed and compared with the their achievements. In addition, participants were asked to fill in questionnaires about cyber lectures to examine their perceptions of the online class. The results showed that 80% of the students who attended online courses attended the program with a progress rate of 86.57%. There was no statistically significant difference in the progress rate between the classes. However, the differences of the progress rate by grade was statistically significant. When analyzing the perceptions of online courses, it was found that the students are not satisfied with the online classes with the mean score of 3.87. In particular, they responded that they would not recommend others taking online courses and they somewhat regret taking online classes. However, the responses were statistically different by the grade. Based on these results, the ways of improving students’ academic achievements by promoting their active participation were suggested.
