외국인 손상환자의 비의도적 손상에 영향을 미치는 요인

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 비의도적 손상사고로 입원한 외국인 환자의 손상유형과 특성을 파악하여 국내거주 외국인의 손상 예방책을 모색하고자 시도되었다. 연구방법은 경기도의 일개 의료기관에서 2015년 1월 1일부터 2015년 12월 31일까지 1년간 손상으로 입원치료를 받은 외국인 환자 86명의 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS Ver. 21.0을 사용하였다. 연구결과는 대상자의 남녀비율은 8:2로 남성의 비율이 여성에 비해 매우 높았고, 다빈도 손상진단은 머리/얼굴손상(S00-S19), 상부사지손상(S40-S69), 가슴복부손상(S20-S39)순이었다. 손상유형은 염좌/탈구, 열상/물린상처/개방창, 골절 순이었고, 성별에 따른 손상특성은 진료과, BMI, 손상발생장소, 손상활동, 주 진단, 손상외인, 손상중증도(ICISS)가 통계적으로 유의하였다. 외국인 손상환자의 손상위험 요인으로는 손상발생장소, 손상 시 활동, 주 진단, 손상외인, 손상중증도(ICISS)로 확인되었다. 결론적으로 국내 거주 외국인은 주로 근무지에서 소득을 위한 작업 중 손상을 입는 것으로 나타났으며, 외국인의 손상예방을 위해서는 주기적인 안전보건 강화 교육 실시와 더불어 작업환경 개선이 필수적으로 요구된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the injury types and characteristics of foreigner inpatients who were hospitalized for unintentional injury and to seek prevention measures. The research method collected data from 86 foreign patients who were hospitalized for one year from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015 at one medical institution in Gyeonggi Province. The data analysis used SPSS Ver. 21.0. The result of the study showed that the ratio of men to women was 8:2, and the injury diagnoses were in the order of head/face injury (S00-S19), upper limb injury (S40-S69), and chest abdomen injury (S20). Injury types were in the order of sprain/dislocation, laceration/bite/open wounds, and the fracture. Injury characteristics were statistically significant in the department, BMI, place of occurrence of injury, activity of occurrence of injury, principal diagnosis, external injury, and ICISS. The factors of injury risk for foreigner inpatients were also identified as the place of occurrence of injury, activity of occurrence of injury, principal diagnosis, external injury, and ICISS. In conclusion, foreigners living in Korea were found to be injured during work for income at work, and in order to prevent injury to foreigners, it is necessary to improve the working environment along with regular safety and health strengthening education.
