가족단절 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 기독교인 상담사 부부의 삶에서 ‘가족단절 경험과 의미’에 관한 이야기를 나누고 전체적인 삶의 맥락 속에서 그들의 삶이 어떻게 이어지는지 이해하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 경기도 거주 기독교인 상담사 부부를 대상으로 2022년 7월 18일부터 9월 13일까지 약 2개월에 걸쳐 여러 차례의 면담과 이메일, 전화 통화, 문자 교환 등의 방법으로 연구를 진행하였다. 연구는 생명윤리위원회 승인(22-01-03-0701)을 받은 후 연구참여자의 윤리적 고려, 타당성과 신뢰성을 확보하였으며, 내러티브 탐구 절차(Clandinin & Connelly, 2006)에 근거하여 ‘현장으로 들어가기’, ‘현장 텍스트 구성하기’, ‘현장 텍스트에서 연구 텍스트로’, ‘연구 텍스트 구성하기’로 설정하였다. 결과 가족단절 경험에서 남성 상담사는 결혼 후에 아내로부터 ‘성격 파탄자’라는 비난의 소리를 들으면서 자신 안의 엄청난 열패감과 수치심이 살아나 분노의 감정으로 인한 언어 단절, 정서 단절, 부부간 성관계의 단절까지 경험하였다. 여성 상담사는 어린 시절 부모와의 불안정한 애착 형성은 결혼 후 남편과의 관계에서도 고스란히 나타났으며, 남편과의 갈등이 생길 때마다 언어 단절, 정서 단절, 부부간 성관계 단절의 형태로 이어졌다. 결론 상담사 부부의 가족단절 경험에 관한 의미를 첫째, 가족이 가장 안전하지만 때로는 상처로 남아있었다. 둘째, 자기 이해, 수용과 존중으로 표현되었다. 셋째, 상처 입은 치유자, 도구로서의 나로 분석하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives In this study, we discussed the ‘experience and meaning of family disconnection’ in the lives of a Christian counselor couple and understood how their lives continue within the overall context of life. Methods To this end, a study was conducted with a couple of Christian counselors living in Gyeonggi-do over a period of approximately two months from July 18 to September 13, 2022, through several interviews, emails, phone calls, and text exchanges. After receiving approval from the Bioethics Committee (22-01-03-0701), The study secured ethical consideration, validity and reliability of research participants, and ‘Entered the field’ based on narrative inquiry procedures (Clandinin & Connelly, 2006). The settings were ‘Constructing field text’, ‘From field text to research text’, and ‘Constructing research text’. Results In the experience of family rupture, a male counselor heard his wife criticize him as a ‘character-broken person’ after marriage, and the tremendous sense of defeat and shame within him revived, and he experienced a breakdown in language, emotions, and even a break in sexual relations between the couple due to feelings of anger. The female counselor said that the unstable attachment she developed with her parents during her childhood was also evident in her relationship with her husband after marriage, and whenever conflict with her husband arose, it led to a breakdown in language, emotions, and a breakdown in sexual relations between the couple. Conclusions First, the meaning of the counselor couple's experience of family disconnection is that family is the safest, but sometimes it remains a wound. Second, it was expressed in self-understanding, acceptance and respect. Third, I analyzed myself as a wounded healer and tool.
