유아의 또래놀이 상호작용과 사회정서발달 간 종단적 인과관계 검증

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 유아의 또래놀이 상호작용의 종단적 변화유형을 검증하고 사회정서발달과의 종단적 관계를 실증적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 방법 연구대상은 한국아동패널 5차년도(2012)와, 6차년도(2013), 7차년도(2014) 자료 639명의 데이터를 활용하였다. 연구의 수집된 자료는 SPSS 26, M-plus 8프로그램을 활용하여 분석을 실시하였고, 기술적 통계분석과 함께 M-plus 잠재성장모형, 잠재계층성장모형 분석을 통해 유아의 또래놀이상호작용의 변화양상을 파악하였고, 잠재계층성장모형으로 도출된 변화유형 집단변수를 활용하여 교차분석(-test)과 또래놀이 상호작용 변화유형이 사회정서발달에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위한 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 잠재계층성장모형 분석결과, 1집단은 고수준 유지, 2집단은 고수준 감소, 3집단은 저수준 유지 집단으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 또래놀이 상호작용 변화유형에 따른 인구통계학적특성의 차이는 성별, 부연령, 모학력 등에서 유의한 결과가 나타났으며 사회정서발달에 미치는 영향을 확인한 결과, 저수준 유지에 비해 고수준 유지는 사회정서발달 수준이 높았으나, 고수준 감소는 저수준 유지와 사회정서발달 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 결론 분석결과를 토대로 본 연구는 또래놀이 상호작용의 사회성에 대한 효과성을 위해 초기뿐만 아니라 그것을 유지할 수 있는 지속적인 개입이 필요함을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to validate the longitudinal patterns of peer play interaction in young children and empirically analyze their longitudinal relationship with social-emotional development. Methods The subjects of the study used data from 639 people in the 5th(2012), 6th(2013), and 7th(2015) years of the Korean Children's Panel. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS 26 and M-plus 8 programs. Through descriptive statistics and M-plus latent growth models, the study identified the patterns of change in children's peer play interactions. It also conducted cross-analysis using the latent class growth model-derived change type group variables, and performed multiple regression analysis to verify the impact of peer play interaction change types on social-emotional development. Results First, as a result of the analysis of the latent class growth model, it was confirmed that group 1 maintained a high level, group 2 decreased a high level, and group 3 decreased a low level. Second, significant differences in demographic characteristics such as gender, birth order, and maternal education were found according to the types of changes in peer play interaction. In terms of their impact on social-emotional development, it was confirmed that maintaining a high level was associated with a higher level of social-emotional development compared to maintaining a low level. However, the decrease in a high level did not show a difference in social-emotional development compared to maintaining a low level. Conclusions Based on the analysis of the results, this study suggests that continuous intervention is necessary not only at the initial stage but also to maintain the effectiveness of peer play interactions on social skills.
