국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 대학생을 대상으로 불확실성에 대한 인내력과 진로미결정의 관계에 있어서 자기자비와 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 순차적으로 이중매개하는지를 검증하고자 하였다. 방법 연구를 위해, 대학생을 대상으로 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족, 자기자비, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움, 진로미결정 등으로 구성된 온라인 설문을 진행하였다. 총 353명의 자료가 분석에 활용되었고, 분석에는 SPSS 26.0과 AMOS 27.0을 이용하였다. 결과 연구결과, 주요 변인 간 유의한 상관을 확인하였다. 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족과 진로미결정의 관계에서 자기자비와 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 순차적으로 이중매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 불확실성에 낮은 인내심을 보이는 이들일수록 스스로에 대한 자비심이 낮고, 이는 타인 또한 자신에 대해 부정적 평가할 것이라는 두려움으로 인해 진로결정에 어려움을 보인다. 결론 이는 COVID-19 등 변화무쌍한 시대에 있어, 대학생의 진로미결정을 다루는 데에 불확실성에 대한 인내력, 자기자비, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 중요함을 의미한다. 끝으로 본 연구의 시사점과 한계점을 논하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to verify whether self-compassion and fear of negative evaluation were double-mediated in the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and career indecision for college students. It was to apply the model of career adaptation of Savicaks(2013, 2020) to college students who are about to transition from school to work. Methods A survey was conducted on intolerance of uncertainty, self-compassion, fear of negative evaluation, and career indecision for college students. Data from 353 participants were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 27.0. Results A significant correlation was found between intolerance of uncertainty, self-compassion, fear of negative evaluation, and career indecision. And self-compassion and fear of negative evaluation serially mediated the relationship between Intolerance of uncertainty and career indecision. In other words, those who show less tolerance with uncertainty have less compassion on themselves, which makes career decisions difficult due to the fear that others will also negatively evaluate themselves. Conclusions In the ever-changing era of IT and COVID-19, it means that resilience to uncertainty, self-compassion, and fear of negative evaluation are important in dealing with college students' career decision. Finally, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
