대학생 학사경고자를 위한 정규교과목 개발 및 학업성취도 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 학사경고 극복을 목적으로 ‘학습전략’이라는 정규 교과목을 개발하고, 2회 연속 학사경고를 받은 학생을 대상으로 해당 수업을 운영한 후 이수 학생의 학업성취 변화를 분석하였다. ‘학습전략’ 교과목은 학생들의 학습동기를 높여 자기주도적 학습을 수행하도록 지원함으로써 대학생활 적응 및 학업성취를 돕고, 중도탈락을 예방하기 위해 설계되었다. 대학생활의 의미와 시간관리, 학습전략과 자기주도적 학습 설계 등 15주차 교육과정으로구성되며, 학사규정 상 2회 연속 학사경고를 받은 재학생은 의무 이수해야 졸업이 가능하다. 교과목 운영 취지를고려하여 2021학년도 1학기 학사경고자 62명을 대상으로 교과목 이수 전후 평점평균, 이수학점 수를 비교하고 학사경고 극복 비율을 확인하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 총 7차에 걸친 전문가 협의 과정을 통해 학사경고 극복을 위한 ‘학습전략’ 교과목을 개발하였다. 전문가 협의 과정에는 교과 운영의 목적 및 목표 설정, 교육내용 선정, 교수 학습방법, 교과목 가이드북 개발, 예상 운영 성과에 대한 검토 과정이 포함되었다. 둘째, 개발된 ‘학습전략’ 교과목 수업은 15 주차 동안 다양한 세부주제로 운영되었다. 대학생활의 의미부터 시간관리 방법, 자기주도적 학습과 맞춤형 학습전략 방법, 대학생활 스트레스 관리까지 인지적 정서적 요인을 포함하였다. 셋째, 학습전략 교과를 이수한 재학생은 직전학기 대비 평점 및 이수학점 모두 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 2021학년도 1학기 교과 이수자 62명 중 49명(79.03%)이 학사경고 판단 기준을 상회하여 학사경고를 벗어났다. 이러한 연구결과는 대학 차원의 학사경고자 경감 대책 마련에 기여할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study is to develop the academic strategic class in curriculum-based and analyse the change of academic achievement for the students placed under two times academic probation. This academic strategic class is that the students with two times academic probation are obligatory to participate in the class and take the grade. The academic strategic class is consisted of 15 weeks in regular semester. The students of this class are encouraged to have the interest in academic life and motivate to learn. Therefore, the basic purpose of this class is to prevent students form dropout college. The class was conducted among 62 the students placed under academic probation and the grade, credits and the escaping ratio from the bachelor’s warning was analysed comparing to previous semester’s. The results of the study are as follows. First, the academic strategic class for students on academic probation was designed and developed in regular curriculum-based. The developed class was provided for students on academic probation during 15 weeks with detailed subject. Second, the grade and credits of all the students on academic probation was improved comparing to previous semester’s. Third, 49 out of 62 the students(about 79.03%) placed under academic probation escaped from the bachelor’s warning. Based on the results of these researches, I would like to give some specific suggestions about academic strategic class that operate under the bachelor’s warning system in the university.
