중년기 노화불안과 웰에이징의 관계 모형 검증

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 중년기 노화불안과 웰에이징의 관계를 노후준비가 매개하고, 이러한 매개효과를 수용대처, 문제중심대처, 사회적 지지추구 대처, 삶의 의미가 조절하는 조절된 매개효과를 검증하였다. 방법 이를 위해 2019년 10월 말부터 2019년 11월 초까지 약 2주 동안 만 40세 이상~59세 이하의 성인, 총 259명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시했고, SPSS 21.0과 SPSS PROCESS macro를 사용해 자료를 분석했다. 결과 첫째, 중년기 노화불안은 노후준비, 웰에이징, 수용 대처, 문제중심대처, 삶의 의미와 유의한 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 중년기 노화불안과 웰에이징의 관계에서 노후준비의 부분매개효과를 확인하였다. 셋째, 중년기 노화불안과 웰에이징의 관계에서 노후준비의 매개효과를 수용 대처, 문제중심대처, 사회적 지지추구 대처, 삶의 의미가 조절하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 결론 중년 성인들이 노화로 인한 걱정과 두려움을 경험할 때 수용 대처, 문제중심대처, 사회적 지지추구 대처, 삶의 의미가 이들의 노후준비를 촉진하고 자신의 노화 상황에 만족하도록 도울 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the moderated mediating effect of acceptance coping, problem-focused coping, social support seeking and meaning of life through preparation for old age on the relationship between aging anxiety of middle-aged and well-aging. Methods For the purpose of the study, 259 participants from 40 to 59 years of age participated in the online survey for two weeks from the end of October to the beginning of November, 2019. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and SPSS Process Macro to examine the research model(a moderated mediation model). Results First, aging anxiety of middle-aged was significantly correlated with preparation for old, well-aging, acceptance coping, problem-focused coping and meaning of life. Second, preparation for old age partially mediated the relationship between aging anxiety of middle-aged and well-aging. Third, the mediating effect of preparation for old was moderated by acceptance coping, problem-focused coping, social support seeking and meaning of life in relationship between aging anxiety of middle-aged and well-aging. Conclusions When middle-aged adults experience aging-related worries and fears, acceptance coping, problem-focused coping, social support seeking, and meaning of life can promote their retirement preparation and help them to be satisfied with their aging process.
