취업준비생의 부적응적 완벽주의와 취업스트레스의 관계

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 취업을 준비 중인 대학교 4학년 및 졸업생을 대상으로 부적응적 완벽주의, 자기자비, 불확실성에 대한 인내력, 취업스트레스 간의 관계를 구조모형을 통해 살펴보았다. 구체적으로 부적응적 완벽주의와 취업스트레스 간의 관계에서 자기자비와 불확실성에 대한 인내력의 매개효과를 각각 검증하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 전문 설문조사 기관을 통해 2020년 2월 12일부터 1주일간 전국에 있는 취업준비생 302명을 대상으로 부적응적 완벽주의 척도, 자기자비 척도, 불확실성에 대한 인내력 척도, 취업스트레스를 측정하였다. 결과 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부적응적 완벽주의, 자기자비, 불확실성에 대한 인내력, 취업스트레스간의 상관은 각각 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부적응적 완벽주의와 취업스트레스 관계에서 불확실성에 대한 인내력의 매개효과는 유의하였으나, 자기자비의 매개효과는 유의하지 않았다. 셋째, 부적응적 완벽주의와 취업 스트레스의 관계에서 자기자비와 불확실성에 대한 인내력은 순차적 이중 매개효과가 나타났다. 결론 연구 결과를 토대로 취업을 준비 중인 부적응적 완벽주의 성향의 대학생 및 졸업생의 취업스트레스에 영향을 미치는 개인 내적 특성을 살펴보고, 대학생들의 취업스트레스를 돕는 개입방법을 제안하였으며, 마지막으로 후속연구를 위한 제한점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of self-compassion and tolerance of uncertainty in the relationship between maladaptive perfectionism and job seeking stress. Methods Participants were recruited by a commercial survey firm from its online panel for a week of February 12th in 2020. A total of 302 job applicants, seniors and college graduates, completed questionnaires of the Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale, the Korean version of the Self-Compassion scale, the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale and Job-seeking Stress Scale. Results The results of this study are as follows. First, the relationships between the pairs of maladaptive perfectionism, self-compassion, tolerance of uncertainty and job seeking stress showed statistically significant correlations. Second, tolerance of uncertainty mediated the relationship between maladaptive perfectionism and job-seeking stress, whereas the mediating effect of self-compassion was not significant. Fourth, self-compassion and tolerance of uncertainty showed a significant sequential mediation effects on the relationship between maladaptive perfectionism and job-seeking stress. Conclusions The results showed how the psychological factors of job applicants affect the job-seeking stress and suggested on importance of intervening in job applicants’ of self-compassion and tolerance of uncertainty to address their job-seeking stress. Based on these results, major implications, limitations, and suggestions for follow-up studies were discussed.
