학급풍토가 학교폭력예방문화에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 학교폭력예방문화의 상위 변인을 중심으로 초등학생들이 지각한 학급풍토와 학교폭력예방문화 간의 관계를 알아보고, 학급풍토가 학교폭력예방문화에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 울산 소재 초등학생 5, 6학년 137명의 질문지를 대상으로 기술통계분석과 상관관계분석을 실시하였으며, 학급풍토와 학교폭력예방문화의 구조적 관계모형의 적합도를 검증하기 위해 구조방정식모형을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 학급풍토와 학교폭력예방문화의 상위 변인의 관계 중 학급풍토와 학교폭력 무관용의 학교규범과의 관계를 제외하고 친화적 학교풍토의 관계, 학급풍토와 학교폭력예방활동 지원과의 관계에서 유의미한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학생들이 지각한 학급풍토와 학교폭력예방문화 간의 구조적 관계를 알아 본 결과, 학급풍토가 학교폭력 무관용의 학교규범에 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 학급풍토가 친화적 학교풍토에 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 학급풍토가 학교폭력예방 활동 지원에 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 논의와 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study are to examine relations between the classroom climate perceived by elementary school students and the school violence prevention culture with a focus on the upper-level variables of the culture and investigate the effects of classroom climate on the culture. For these purposes, the study conducted with the responses of 137 questionnaires filled out by fifth and sixth graders in Ulsan. The findings were as follows: first, the study examined correlations between the classroom climate and the upper-level variables of school violence prevention culture and found significant positive correlations between the classroom climate and friendly school climate and supports for school violence prevention activities, which are two upper-level variables of the culture.; and secondly, the study looked into structural relations between the classroom climate perceived by elementary school students and the school violence prevention culture and found that the classroom climate had significant positive(+) effects on the school norm of zero tolerance for school violence, friendly school climate, and supports for school violence prevention activities. Based on these findings, the study had a discussion and proposed their implications.
