대학생이 지각한 부모양육행동과 심리적 독립이 진로결정수준에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생이 지각한 부모양육행동과 심리적 독립이 진로결정수준에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지 알아내는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 서울과 수도권에 위치한 4년제 대학교에 재학 중인 남녀 대학생 270명으로, 자기보고식 설문지를 사용하여 직접 배부 및 온라인 설문을 통하여 2019년 10월 20일부터 11월 20일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구에 대한 결과로 대학생의 인구학적 변인에 따른 진로결정수준은 고학년이 저학년보다 유의미하게 높게 나타났고 성별, 전공계열, 생활수준에 따른 유의미한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 대학생이 지각한 부모양육행동은 심리적 독립과 유의한 상관관계가 있었으나 진로결정수준에는 유의한 상관관계가 나타나지 않았고, 심리적 독립은 진로결정수준에 유의한 정적(+)상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 부모양육행동은 진로결정수준에 아무런 영향력이 미치지 않았고 심리적 독립의 하위변인인 자기신뢰, 자율적 의사결정 순으로 진로결정수준에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 향후 대학생들의 진로탐색 프로그램이나 진로상담에 도움이 되며 청소년 후기의 자녀를 둔 부모 상담에도 기초자료로 쓰이는데 그 의의를 둔다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find out how the parenting behavior and psychological independence perceived by university students affect the career decision level. The study subjects were 270 male and female university students attending a four-year university located in Seoul and the metropolitan area, and data was collected from October 20 to November 20, 2019 through distribution and online surveys using a self-report questionnaire. Data processing was analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. As a result of this study, the career decision level according to the sociodemographic variables of university students was significantly higher in the upper grades than in the lower grades. There were no significant differences according to gender, major, and living standards. Parenting behavior perceived by university students had a significant correlation with psychological independence, but there was none with career decision level. While parenting behavior had no influence on career decision level, psychological independence had a positive(+) correlation with career decision level. It was found that self-reliance and voluntary decision making, which are sub-variants of psychological independence, affect career decision level. The results of the study will be useful for future college students career exploration programs or career counseling, and be used as basic data in counseling parents with children in post-adolescence students.
