체화된 인지 관점의 수학 중심 융합 수업에서 나타난 초등학생의 집단창의성 발현에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 체화된 인지 관점에서 ‘몸’의 활동이 다양한 환경과 상호작용하는 과정을 통해 인지를 구성해나가는 측면에서 수학 중심 융합 수업을 설계하고, 협력적 문제해결 상황에서 드러나는 집단창의성의 발현과정을 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 초등학교 5, 6학년으로 구성된 초등수학영재를 대상으로 수학 중심 융합 수업을 2일에 걸쳐 8차시 전일제 수업으로 적용하였으며, 19명의 협력적 문제해결 검사지, 학생 활동 녹화 및 관찰 자료, 산출물, 활동지 등의 자료를 MAXQDA를 통해 분석하였다. 협력적 문제해결력 사전, 사후 t검정 결과 모든 모둠이 통계적으로 유의미한 결과가 나타났으며, 특히 활동 결과 상위 2개 모둠(A, E모둠)은 협력적 문제해결의 하위 요소(문제해결수행 요소, 사회적협력 요소) 각각에 대해서도 유의미한 변화가 나타났다. A, E모둠을 보다 구체적으로 분석하기 위해 학생들의 담화를 집단창의성 분석틀을 통해 살펴본 결과, 구체적인 집단창의성 양상에 있어서는 반성적 대화, 발산적 생산, 수렴적 생산, 친사회적 상호작용 범주에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 집단창의성의 효과적인 발현을 위한 다양한 논의와 함께 후속 연구의 필요성을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

In the aspect of embodied cognition, a math-focused integration lesson in terms of constructing cognition through the process of body s activities interacting with various environments was designed. The process of manifestation of ‘group creativity’ in the collaborative problem-solving situation was examined. The subjects of this study were 19 elementary mathematics gifted students composed of 5th and 6th graders. Data such as collaborative problem-solving test sheets, student activity recording and observation data, and outputs and activity sheets were analyzed through MAXQDA. Collaborative problem-solving ability pre- and post- t tests showed that all teams showed statistically significant results. In particular, the top two groups (group A and E) were the sub-elements of collaborative problem-solving (problem solving performance and social-cooperation) also showed significant changes for each. In addition, as a result of coding and analyzing students discourses through a group creativity analysis framework, both groups showed successful problem solving progress. On the other hand, the specific group creativity pattern showed statistically significant differences in the categories of reflective, divergent production, convergent production, and prosocial interaction. Based on the analysis results of this study, various discussions for effective expression of group creativity and the need for follow-up studies were proposed.
