키워드 네트워크 분석을 통한 국내 북한 교육 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 키워드 네트워크 분석을 통해 2010년부터 2019년까지 10년간 KCI 등재지에 게재된 북한 교육 연구의 동향을 분석하였다. 수집한 227편의 논문을 기반으로 NetMiner 4를 활용하여 내용 분석, 워드 클라우드, 중심성과 응집성 분석, 토픽 모델링을 하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내 북한 교육 연구에 많이 등장한 키워드는 북한, 교육과정, 북한이탈주민, 통일, 문학, 사회, 교과서 등이었고, 이중 북한, 북, 교육과정, 통일, 중심, 분석, 교과서가 연결중심성과 근접중심성이 높아 북한 교육 연구에서 영향력이 큰 키워드로 나타났다. LDA 토픽 모델링 결과, 교육과정과 교과서 분석(60편, 28.2%), 북한 정치와 통일(40편, 17.6%) 등 6개의 토픽으로 분류되었다. 둘째, 국내 북한 교육 연구 논문을 게재한 학술지는 총 131종이며, 분야별 학술지 수와 게재 논문 수는 사회과학 분야(72종, 133편), 인문학 분야(37종, 53편), 복합학 분야(12종, 24편), 예술체육 분야(4종, 10편)의 순으로 많았다. 특히 사회과학 분야에서는 2019년 전년도의 2배에 가까운 논문이 게재되면서 2013년 이후 꾸준히 북한 교육 연구가 증가하는 경향을 나타냈다. 본 연구는 2010년 이후 국내 북한 교육 연구의 전반적인 동향을 파악한 것에 의의가 있고, 후속 연구로 자연과학 분야에서의 연구, 공저자 및 인용 네트워크 분석 등을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the research trends on North Korean education from the studies published in KCI journals over 10 years from 2010 to 2019 through keyword network analysis. It carried out content analysis, analysis of centrality and coherence, and topic modeling using NetMiner 4, as well as created word clouds, based on the 227 collected studies. The results of this study are as follows. First, the keywords most prevalent in research on North Korean education in South Korea included North Korea, education curriculum, North Korean defectors, unification, literature, society, and textbook. Of those, North Korea, North, education curriculum, unification, center, analysis, and textbook had a higher degree in both degree centrality and closeness centrality, and hence, were identified as keywords with a great influence on research on North Korean education. The results of LDA topic modeling classified the studies under six topics including the education curriculum and textbook analysis (60 studies, 28.2%) and North Korean politics and unification (40 studies, 17.6%). Second, there were 131 academic journals that have published studies on North Korean education in South Korea. The social science field (72 journals, 133 studies) had the highest number of journals and published studies, followed by the humanities (37 journals, 53 studies), interdisciplinary studies (12 journals, 24 studies), and arts and physical education (4 journals, 10 studies). In particular, the number of studies published in the social science field showed a nearly twofold rise in 2019 compared with the previous year, revealing a continuous increase in research on North Korean education since 2013. This study is significant as it identifies the overall research trends on North Korean education in South Korea since 2010. It is suggested that future studies analyze research within the natural science field, co-authors, and the citation network.
