국문 초록

본 연구는 연주와 비평을 최종목표로 설정하여 이론, 감상, 토론, 작곡, 편곡, 비평을 이용하는 수업방식을 고안하여, 그 적용 가능성과 효과를 분석한 것이다. 2015년 -2016년까지 2년 동안 K대학교 H칼리지의 <악기의 탄생>이란 강의명으로 개설된 교양과목에서 총 420명을 대상으로 진행 되었다. 학생들의 전공은 다양했다. 첫 강의와 마지막 강의 때 수업이 음악 이해에 미친 영향의 정도를 보기 위해 설문조사를 시행하였다. 그리고 강의 진행을 위해서 여러 차례 설문을 진행하였고 4단계의 창의적이고 효과적인 교수법을 사용하였다. 첫째, 설문을 통해 학습자들의 음악에 대한 이해를 파악한다. 둘째, 설문을 토대로 그룹을 만들고 그룹간의 소규모 감상과 토론을 실행한다. 셋째, 음악 이론과 역사, 악기론에 대해 주제를 가지고 이론과 감상을 수업한다. 넷째, 합주를 통해 연주를 경험하며, 앞서 학습한 음악에 대한 이론,감상을 병행한다. 연주를 통해 그 음악에서 파생하는 시대적 배경, 특징, 형식, 악기론 등의 지식을 비평하게 된다. 그 결과, 학생들은 스스로 창의적이고 효율적인 학습을 만들어 가는 리더가 되고, 교수자는 학생들 사이에 소통의 역할을 하게 되었다. 이 강의 방식을 통해 교수와 학생의 소통, 수업 내용 이해, 교양 지식 향상 면에서 높은 만족도와 효과를 얻었다. 본 연구는 기존의 음악교육 방식에서 보이는 한계를 넘어서 종합적으로 음악에 접근하는 것이 음악교양교육에 가능하며 효과적이라는 것을 보여주었다.

영문 초록

birth of a musical instrument at H College at the K university. It has been used 6 times in total for two years, 2015-2016. Each class had 70 students and this subject was of 3 credits. Although various study had been done in terms with a teaching method for STEAM, it seems rarely to be done in the area of a music teaching as a liberal art. Recalling most of the study was focusing on how to memorise and how to listen to music so far, new study tries to overcome such a limitation. The main target of this subject was for all the student attending the class to play in concert in each group of 7 members. Creative four steps approach has been used to achieve this goal. Firstly, to grasp students’ level of understanding music using a questionnaire. Secondly, with the class’ grouping into 10 small ones of 7 members each, listening music and group discussion are executed. Thirdly, such an object as theory of music, music history and development of instruments is taught in the class. Fourthly, lecturer helps the class approach music from the perspectives of a player, an audit, a critic and a listener with playing in concert through participation, discussion and playing an instrument. This method turns out to be effective and can be served as an good example which can be used and developed further in the class.
