유아의 어머니 교육참여와 유치원 적응 관계에서 학부모 간 사회적지지의 매개효과

국문 초록

이 연구는 어머니 교육참여와 유아의 유치원 적응의 구조적 관계에서 학부모 간 사회적지지의 매개효과를 분석하였다. 이상의 연구문제를 검증하기 위해 서울, 경기, 충청의 대도시 및 중소도시 지역에 거주하는 5세 유아 356명의 어머니와 학급담임교사 27명을 표집하여 2016년 11월 질문지를 배부하였으며, 2017년 2월까지 수거하였다. 수거된 질문지를 바탕으로 SPSS 20.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도, 기술통계분석, 상관분석, 신뢰도분석을 실시하였으며, AMOS 20.0을 이용하여 구조방정식 모형을 분석하였다. 연구결과 유아의 유치원적응에 학부모 간 사회적지지가 직접효과를 보여주었으며, 어머니 교육참여가 학부모 간 사회적지지를 통해 간접효과가 나타나 완전매개효과를 가졌다. 본 연구결과는 유아가 유치원에서 잘 적응하기 위해서는 어머니가 가정, 유치원에서 실시하는 교육 참여뿐만 아니라 다른 학부모들과 맺는 사회적지지 수준 역시 고려되어야 함을 입증한 것으로, 학령기 이전 유아기에도 학부모 참여를 활성화시킬 수 있는 관련 프로그램이나 정책 등이 실시되어져야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of parents’ social support in classroom in the structural relation between participation in mother’s educational participation and preschool adjustment of five-year-old children. For this purpose, 356 children aged 5 years, their mothers, and teachers in preschool located in Seoul, Gyeong-gi, Chung-cheong provinces were selected. The data were analyzed through the SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0 program and concluded using frequency analysis, correlation analysis, structural equation model analysis. The results of this study were as follows: First, Parents’ social support in classroom had a significant direct effect on five-year-old preschool children’s adjustment. Second, Mother’s educational participation had a significant direct effect on parent’s social support. Third, Mother’s educational participation showed significant indirect effect on the five-year-old preschool children’s adjustment through the mediating effect of parents’ social support in classroom. The results suggest that the more positive the mother’s education participation, the more the parents’ social support in classroom received, which can be a positive help for the children’s preschool adjustment.
