국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 상대적으로 열악한 지역사회환경에 처할 가능성이 높은 저소득 청소년을 대상으로 이들이 인식한 지역사회환경이 진로정체감에 미치는 영향력을 살펴보고 이들 간의 관계에서 학교생활적응의 매개효과를 분석하는데 있다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원이 주관하는 종단조사 KCYPS 제7차(2016) 데이터를 활용하였으며, 전체 조사대상자 중 저소득 가정 청소년 248명의 자료를 분석하였다. 연구문제 검증을 위해 t-test와 상관분석, 다중회귀분석 및 부트스트랩핑을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 저소득 청소년이 비저소득 청소년에 비해 상대적으로 낮은 진로정체감을 나타냈고 지역사회환경인식, 학교생활적응 모든 면에서 취약한 것으로 나타났으며, 도시 저소득 청소년이 지역사회환경을 더 부정적으로 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지역사회환경에 대한 인식은 저소득 청소년의 진로정체감에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 지역사회환경과 진로정체감 사이에서 학교생활적응이 부분매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 지역사회환경이 청소년의 진로정체감과 연관성이 있음을 실증적으로 확인하였고 지역사회환경이 학교환경뿐만 아니라 개인의 발달적인 특성에 까지 영향을 미친다는 것을 파악하였다는데 의미가 있다. 마지막으로 연구결과를 바탕으로 정책적, 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of community environment on the career identity of adolescents from low-income families, and to analyze the mediation effect of school adjustment. For this purpose, a secondary data from National Youth Policy Institute(the 7th wave of 2016) was used and the data of 248 adolescents from low-income families were analyzed among the participants. To analyze the data, t-tests, correlations, multiple regressions and Bootstrapping were used. The results of this study were as follows: First, adolescents from low-income families showed lower career identity, more negative perception on their community environment and lower level of school adjustment than the adolescents from middle and high income families. Also adolescents living in urban area had more negative perception on their community environment than those living in rural area. Second, the perception of community environment had a significant effect on the career identity of low-income adolescents and school adjustment had a partial mediation effect between them. The research results empirically revealed that there is a relationship between community environment and the career identity of adolescents and it is meaningful that this study showed community environment influenced not only the school life but also individual developmental characteristics. Finally, several political and practical implications were presented.
