충북지역 장애아동 보호자의 특수학교 구강보건사업에 대한 인식 조사

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애아동 보호자를 대상으로 특수학교 구강보건사업에 대한 인식정도를 파악하기 위한 연구로써, 청주시 소재 4개의 특수학교에 재학 중인 장애아동 보호자를 대상으로 2016년 5월 16일부터 6월 7일까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 장애아동 학교구강보건사업 사업 수행여부는 응답자의 82.9%가 수행한다고 응답하였으며 사업수행의 필요성에 대해서는 대부분 지속적으로 구강보건사업이 필요하다고 응답하였다. 조사대상자의 특수학교 구강보건사업 필요에 대한 인식정도는 평균 4.29점으로 조사되었다. 특히 장애인을 위한 특수학교 구강보건정책 필요성에 대한 항목이 4.33점으로 조사되어, 장애아동 보호자들의 특수학교 구강보건사업에 대한 정책적인 필요성 인식도가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 장애아동의 구강건강 증진을 위해서는 현실에 맞는 학교구강보건사업 정책수립이 필요하며, 장애아동 구강건강을 지속적으로 관리할 수 있도록 특수학교 구강보건실 운영 및 전담인력 배치 방안도 모색해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness of guardians of children with disabilities on special school oral health programs. The subjects in this study were the guardians of children with disabilities who were in four different special schools located in the city of Cheongju. A survey was conducted from May 16 to June 7, 2016. As for the implementation or non-implementation of school- based oral health programs for children with disabilities, 82.9 percent of the respondents replied that these programs were carried out, and regarding a need for the implementation of these programs, the majority answered sustained oral health programs were necessary. Concerning the awareness level of the necessity of special school oral health programs, they gave 4.33 to the item on a need for special school oral health policy for people with disabilities, which implied that the guardians of the children with disabilities gave top priority to the necessity of policy about special school oral health programs. To promote the oral health of children with disabilities, more realistic policy setting for school-based oral health programs is required, and how to run special school dental clinics to manage the oral health of children with disabilities and how to secure human resources exclusively responsible for that should carefully be considered.
