동화를 활용한 공감능력 증진 프로그램 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 동화를 활용한 공감능력 증진 활동이 유아 자기인식과 감성지능에 미치는 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구문제는 첫째, 동화를 활용한 공감능력 증진 활동은 유아의 자기인식에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 둘째, 동화를 활용한 공감능력 증진 활동은 유아의 감성지능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 본 연구의 도구는 유아 자기인식 검사도구로 외적 자기인식, 내적 자기인식, 사회적 자기인식으로 구성되었으며, 총 16개 문항으로 권대원, 안현정(2018)에 의해 개발된 도구와 유아 감성지능에 대한 검사도구는 이승은, 이영석(2014)이 개발한 38문항 도구를 사용하였다. 연구를 위해 만 5세 유아 40명(실험집단 20명, 비교집단 20명)이 선정되었으며, 실험처치는 매주 3회씩, 6주(총 18회기)에 걸쳐 수행되었다. 유아의 공감능력 증진 활동은 동화를 들려준 후 6단계의 교수학습 활동이 적용되었으며, 1단계-인물 탐색하기, 2단계-감정 공감하여 이해하기, 3단계-또래와 정서 공유하기, 4단계-인물의 정서 표현하기, 5단계-역할 수행하기, 6단계-공감 내면화하기로 진행되었다. 연구도구로 동화 18편과 유아 자기인식 및 감성지능 검사 도구가 사용되었으며, 수집된 자료는 집단 간 독립표본 t-검증으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 본 연구의 동화를 활용한 공감능력 증진 활동은 유아의 자기인식 및 감성지능에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study examined the effect of fairy-tales utilized empathic ability enhancement on young children’s self-recognition and emotional intelligence. Research questions are as following; how does fairy-tales utilized empathic ability enhancement affect children’s self-recognition; how does fairy-tales utilized empathic ability enhancement affect children’s emotional intelligence. 16 young children’s self-recognition assessment tools (Gwon, Dae-Won and An, Hyun-Jeoung, 2018) and 38 emotional intelligence assessment tools (Lee Seung-Eun and Lee, Yong-Seog, 2014) are used in this experiment. 16 self-recognition assessment tools consist of external self-recognition, internal self-recognition and social self-recognition. The subject of this study were 40 young children, age of 5, and divided into two groups: 20 young children in the experimental group and 20 young children in the comparison group. The experiment was performed 18 times, three times per a week for six weeks. After the group listened to the tale, the experiment was processed in teaching-learning six stages: 1. Browsing the characters, 2. Emotionally empathizing to understand, 3. Sharing emotions with peers, 4. Expressing the character’s emotion, 5. Performing a role, and 6. Internalizing the empathy. 18 fairy-tales and assessment tools for young children’s self-recognition and emotional intelligence were used for the experiment, and the data collected were analyzed using the independent sample t-test. As the result, this study found that fairy-tales utilized empathic ability enhancement has a positive effect on their self-recognition and emotional intelligence.
