부모관계 만족도가 청소년의 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 코로나19 상황에서 청소년들의 부모관계 만족도가 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향과 그러한 관계에서 고립감과 우울감의 매개효과를 확인하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 부산 소재 중고등학생 250명을 대상으로 설문지를 통하여 자료를 수집하였다. 인구통계학적 정보에 대한 빈도분석과 기술통계 및 상관관계 분석을 실시하였다. 변수의 신뢰도를 분석하고, 타당도 분석을 위하여 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 가설 검증을 위하여 구조방정식 모형을 활용하여 외생변인으로서 부모관계 만족도, 내생변인으로서 고립감, 우울감, 스마트폰 중독을 선정하여 분석하였다. 결과 구조방정식 모형 분석결과 부모관계 만족도는 청소년이 경험하는 고립감, 우울감을 통해서 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 부모관계 만족도가 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 직접적인 영향은 확인되지 않았으나, 부모관계 만족도는 청소년의 고립감과 우울감에 영향을 미쳤고, 고립감은 우울감을 통해 청소년의 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구는 청소년의 부모관계 만족도가 고립감과 우울감에 영향을 미치고 이는 다시 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미친다는 점 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 청소년의 스마트폰 중독의 선행요인으로 부모관계 만족도, 고립감, 우울감의 영향을 확인하였다는 점에서 의의를 가진다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 청소년의 스마트폰 중독을 감소시키기 위해서는 부모관계 만족도를 제고하고, 청소년이 고립감과 우울감을 경험하지 않도록 하는 제도적 노력이 필요하다는 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the satisfaction on the relationships with pa-rents on smart-phone addiction among adolescents and the mediating effect of social isolation and depression on the such relationships in an environment where COVID-19 spreads. Methods For this purpose, data were collected through questionnaires from 250 middle and high school students in Gyeongsangnam-do. We conducted a frequency analysis to explore demographic information and performed descriptive statistics and correlation analysis of the variables. Cronbach's alpha was utilized to analyze the reli-ability of the variables, and confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to assess the validity of the variables. Using the structural equation modeling, the satisfaction on the relationships with parents as exogenous variables and social isolation, depression, and smart-phone addiction as endogenous variables were selected and analyzed. Results As a result of the structural equation modeling analysis, it was found that the satisfaction on the relation-ships with parents has a positive effect on smart-phone addiction and the relationship between the satisfaction on the relationships with parents and smart-phone addiction is mediated through social isolation and depression experienced by adolescents. Although the direct effect of the satisfaction on the relationships with parents on smart-phone addiction was not statistically significant, it was found that the satisfaction on the relationships with parents had effect on adolescents' social isolation and depression, which in turn had effects on smart-phone addiction. Conclusions This study has a significant implications since it found the effects of the satisfaction on the rela-tionships with parents, social isolation, and depression as the antecedents of smart-phone addiction among adolescents. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that institutional efforts are needed to improve parent-adolescents relationships and prevent adolescents from experiencing feelings of social isolation and depression in order to reduce smart-phone addiction among adolescents.
