코로나의 시간, 학력격차 논쟁을 넘어 학교 공동체에 대한 재음미

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 코로나 19 이후, 방역과 안전이 강화된 학교 현장을 둘러싸고 나타나는 다양한 현상을 파악하고 공동체로서 학교의 역할을 탐색하는 데 있다. 감염병 억제와 생명 안전을 위해 등장한 감시와 억압된 자유의 문제를 고찰하고 코로나 19 이후 드러난 심화된 학력격차 문제를 넘어 학교의 역할과 지향해야 할 가치에 대해 논의하였다. 방법 코로나 19, 2년 차 2021년 3월에서 5월 시점, 코로나를 경험하는 상대적 시간에 대한 음미와 학교의 사회적 기능과 교육의 과제를 탐색하기 위해 관련 학술 문헌을 바탕으로 이론적 탐색을 하였다. 결과 연구 목적 실현을 위해 제시한 이론적 논의는 세 가지이다. 첫째, 코로나 이후 학교 방역이 강화되면서 자유와 안전의 가치 갈등 현상, 둘째, 원격수업 플랫폼 구축을 넘어 비판교육과 공감교육의 필요성, 셋째, 코로나 19 이후 학력격차 논쟁과 학교 안 사회자본 중요성 논의를 통해 학교의 복합적 기능에 대한 이론적 고찰을 하였다. 결론 코로나 19 이후의 시간은 우리의 삶을 다시 돌아보게 하는 의식적이고 주관적 시간이라고 할 수 있다. 원격 수업을 위한 기술적 기반으로서 플랫폼 구축이나 교과 점수로 나타나는 학력격차 문제와 같은 가시적 영역을 넘어 코로나 19라는 외생변수가 만들어낸 ‘에포케가 중지된 시간’에 학교 교육을 통해 자유와 연대의 가치가 조화되는 유기적 공동체 실현 방법을 고찰할 필요가 있다. 세계와 공존하는 방법에 대해 교육내용을 재구성하고, 코로나 시대에 적합한 학교교육 과정의 설계의 필요성을 제시하였으며 코로나의 시대, 다시 유기적 연대를 실천할 수 있는 학교공동체에 대한 논의를 제시하였다. 이과 같은 논의를 통해 학생 성장을 위한 학교의 사회적 기능과 교육적 역할에 대해 보다 폭넓은 시선을 가질 것을 기대하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of schools as a community by identifying various phenomena that appear around school sites where quarantine and safety have been strengthened after COVID-19. The issues of surveillance and repressed freedom that emerged for the suppression of infectious diseases and life safety were considered. We discussed the role of schools and the values they should aim for beyond the problem of educational attainment that has emerged since COVID-19. Methods Covid 19, 2nd year March 2021, to explore the thoughts on the relative time to experience the corona, the social function of schools, and the tasks of education, the theoretical contents were presented with reference to the relevant academic literature. Results There are three theoretical discussions suggested for the realization of the research purpose. First, the conflict between the values of freedom and safety as school quarantine has been strengthened after Corona, second, the necessity of critical education and empathy education beyond the establishment of a distance learning platform, third, the debate over the educational gap after Corona 19 and the importance of social capital in schools discussed about it. Through this, the contents of theoretical considerations on the complex functions and values of schools were presented. Conclusions The time after COVID-19 can be said to be a conscious and subjective time that allows us to look back on our lives. As a technical basis for distance learning, it is necessary to consider things other than the visible areas, such as building a platform or the problem of academic achievement gap expressed in subject scores. It is necessary to think deeply about how to create an organic community in which the values of freedom and solidarity are harmonized through school education in the ‘time when the epoch was stopped’ created by COVID-19. The content of education was reorganized on how we coexist with the world, and the necessity of designing a school curriculum suitable for the era of Corona was presented. In the era of Corona, a discussion about a school community that can practice organic solidarity was presented. Through such discussion, it was expected to have a broader perspective on the social function and educational role of schools for student growth.
