교사 학습공동체 활동을 통한 전환학습 경험 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 W고의 기형도 프로젝트 수업을 위한 교사 학습공동체 활동에서 교사로서의 삶과 수업에 대한 태도를 전환시키는 전환학습의 요소가 무엇인가를 규명하고, 이를 바탕으로 교사 교육 프로그램 운영 방식에 대한 시사점 도출을 목적으로 한다. 방법 기형도 프로젝트 수업을 위한 교사 학습공동체 활동에 대한 관련 문헌분석과 심층면담을 진행하였다. 10여 년 동안 프로젝트를 기획하고 참여했던 경험이 있는 교사 12명을 선정하여 심층면담을 실시하였으며, 대화분석법을 통해 전환학습의 요소를 분석하였다. 결과 W고의 기형도 프로젝트 수업을 위한 교사 학습공동체 활동에서 참가자들은 교사로서의 삶과 수업에 대한 태도를 전환시키는 전환학습을 경험하였다. 심층면담의 분석 결과 참여자들의 사례에서 ‘경험’, ‘비판적 성찰’, ‘이성적 담론’, ‘행동’, ‘맥락’, ‘주관적 요소’의 전환학습 요소가 나타났다. 결론 10년에 걸쳐 이루어진 W고의 기형도 프로젝트 수업 과정에서 교사들은 전환학습을 경험하고 변화의 과정을 겪었다. 성인 학습자이자 교수자로서 교사들이 주체적 학습을 할 수 있도록 교사 교육 프로그램은 전환학습 요소가 발현될 수 있는 조건을 마련해야 한다. 또한 다음을 고려하여 교사 교육 프로그램의 방향을 설정할 필요가 있다. 첫째. 교사 연수 프로그램이나 교사 학습공동체를 구성할 때의 주체는 참여 구성원 전체가 되어야 한다. 둘째, 교사들이 참여하는 학습공동체는 협업을 통한 상호보완적 관계를 형성해야 한다. 셋째. 새로운 도전에 대한 상호 공유 기회는 공동체 내, 공동체 외에 신선한 촉매제의 역할을 할 것이다. 넷째, 삶과 앎이 연결되는 기회를 제공해야 한다. 다섯째, 교사들의 주관적 흥미와 요소를 반영하는 것은 교사들의 전환학습을 통한 새로운 변화의 자극제가 된다.

영문 초록

Objectives In this study, teacher education program methods were suggested based on defining the factors of the transformative learning that changes the attitude of life as a teacher and the attitude towards class through the teacher learning community activities for the W high school Ki Hyungdo Project Class. Methods For this end, we conducted the literature analysis and in-depth interview on the teacher learning community activities for the W high school Ki Hyungdo Project Class. 12 teachers who had participated in the project from planning for more than 10 years were selected and had in-depth interview. Then, the factors of the conversion learning were analyzed by dialogue analysis. Results Through the teacher learning community activities for the W high school Ki Hyungdo Project Class, the teachers who had participated in the activities experienced the conversion learning of transforming their attitude of life as a teacher and the attitude toward class. As a result of the in-depth interview analysis, the transformative learning elements such as ‘experiences’, ‘critical reflection’, ‘rational discourse’, ‘actions’, ‘context’, and ‘subjective factors’ had been identified. Conclusions The teachers had experienced the transformative learning and gone through a change in the whole process of the W high school Ki Hyungdo Project Class throughout 10 years. In order to let teachers do independent learning as a learner and a teacher at the same time, teacher training programs need to establish the conditions that can express transformative learning elements. In addition, it is necessary to set the direction of the teacher education program in consideration of the following. Firstly, the subject of a teacher education program or a teacher learning community must be all individual members. Secondly, a teacher learning community must form complementary relationships through collaboration. Thirdly, the opportunities for sharing of new challenges should serve as a fresh catalyst within and around the community. Fourthly, the opportunities to put what they learned into practice in life should be provided. Lastly, reflecting the teacher s subjective interests and factors on the program should be a stimulant for new changes through the teacher s transformational learning.
