영유아교사의 의사결정 참여에 관한 인식과 실행

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 영유아교사들의 의사결정 참여에 관한 인식과 실행이 어떠한지 알아보는 데 목적을 두었다. 방법 이를 위하여 2021년 5월부터 6월까지 전국의 어린이집, 유치원에 근무하는 영유아교사 500명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 연구도구의 신뢰도를 검증하기 위하여 Cronbach’s α 계수를 산출하였고, 의사결정 장애요인에 관한 인식, 직무 영역 관련 인식과 실행의 차이를 알아보기 위해 일원변량분석과 대응표본 t검증을 실시하여 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 교사들은 교사로서의 의사결정에 관한 이해가 분명하고, 참여목적에 대해서도 분명히 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 영유아교사의 직무영역 관련 의사결정 인식과 실행은 어떠한 지 알아본 결과, 교사로서 실천해야 하는 기본적인 업무에 있어서 인식과 실행수준이 높은 것으로 나타났으나 이외의 업무에 있어서는 의사결정 참여에 관하여 다소 중요도를 낮게 인식 및 실행하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 영유아교사의 직무영역 관련 의사결정에 대한 인식과 실행에 차이가 있는지 알아본 결과 전반적인 인식수준이 실행수준에 비해 높은 것으로 나타났다. 결론 영유아교사들의 의사결정 참여에 관한 인식 및 장애요인, 직무영역에 따른 인식과 실행에 관하여 살펴보았다는 점에서 의의가 있으며 결과를 토대로 현장에서 교사의 의사결정 참여에 대한 환경조성과 지원방안에 대한 시사점을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to figure out how perception and practice of early childhood teacher’s decision-making involvement are. Methods For the purposes, from May to June 2021, the study was conducted targeting 500 early childhood teachers working in dacare centers and kindergartens in Korea. For analyzing the collected data, Cronbach’s α coefficient was calculated to verify the reliability of the research tool, and One-way ANOVA, and paired t-test were reported to verify research questions using SPSS/win 28.0. Results The results of the study are as follows: First, teachers had a clear understanding as a teacher and clearly recognized the purpose of participation in decision making. Second, as a result of examining the recognition and implementation of decision-making in the job area of early childhood teachers, it was found that the level of awareness and execution was high in the basic tasks such as caring and educating young children, practice of teaching-learning, and tasks related to parent. Third, as a result of examining whether there is a difference in the perception and execution of decision- making related to the task area of early childhood teachers, the overall level of awareness was higher than that of the execution level. Conclusions This study is meaningful in two perspectives. First, the perceptions and obstacles of early childhood teachers’s participation in decision making were identified. Second, the awareness and implementations of decision making related to teacher’s job were examined. Based on the results, implications which is necessary to create organizational culture and support promoting teacher’s participation in decision making were drawn.
