초등학교 저학년 신체활동교육에 관한 학부모의 인식

국문 초록

목적 이 연구의 목적은 초등학교 학부모의 관점에서 저학년 신체활동교육의 실제를 확인하고, 이를 토대로 저학년 학생의 신체활동 활성화 방향을 찾는 것이다. 방법 이를 위해 자녀가 취학전 숲교육기관에서 신체활동 중심 통합교육을 경험하였고 신체활동교육에 관심이 많은 현재 초등학교 학부모 5명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 질적 사례연구를 진행하였다. 심층면담과 관련 문서를 통한 자료 수집 후, Yin의 5단계 순환 과정으로 분석하였으며 IRB 심의, 다각도 분석법, 연구 참여자 확인, 동료 간 협의를 통해 연구의 진실성과 윤리성을 확보하고자 노력했다. 결과 초등학교 학부모의 저학년 신체활동교육 실제에 관한 인식은 통합교과 교육과정, 교사, 환경으로 구분하여 확인할 수 있었다. 학부모들은 실제 이뤄지고 있는 통합교과교육에서의 통합이 질적으로 수준이 낮고 체계성이 없으며 신체활동이 소홀하게 다뤄져 한계가 있다고 여겼다. 그리고 저학년 담임교사의 성향이나 신체활동 지도 역량에 따라 학생의 신체활동이 좌우되며, 공간 부족, 가정에서의 지도 여력 부족 등의 다양한 환경적 요인으로 인해 신체활동을 충분히 할 수 없다고 인식했다. 결론 연구 결과를 통해 얻은 시사점을 토대로 초등학교 저학년 교육과정을 신체활동 중심으로 개선하고 교사의 신체활동 지도역량 강화 및 신체활동이 충분히 이뤄질 수 있는 환경 구축을 저학년 학생의 신체활동 활성화 방안으로 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study were to confirm the reality of physical activity education in lower grades from the perspective of elementary school parents and to find activation directions for activating physical activity in lower grades based on this. Methods To this end, five parents of elementary schools who have experienced integrated physical activity-oriented education at pre-school forest education institutions and are interested in physical activity education were selected as research participants to conduct qualitative case studies. After collecting data through in-depth interviews and related documents, it was analyzed as Yin s five-step circulation process, and tried to secure the integrity and ethics of the study through IRB deliberation, multilateral analysis, confirmation of research participants, and peer consultation. Results Elementary school parents perception of physical activity education in the lower grades, which was examined focusing on physical activity, could be confirmed by dividing it into integrated curriculum, teacher, and environment. Parents thought that the integration in integrated curriculum education, which is actually taking place, was qualitatively low, systematic, and neglected physical activities, so there was a limit. In addition, the physical activity of students depends on the tendency of the lower grade homeroom teacher or physical activity guidance competency, and it was recognized that physical activity could not be sufficiently performed due to various environmental factors such as lack of space and lack of guidance at home. Conclusions In order to revitalize the physical activity of lower elementary school students, the lower elementary school curriculum should be improved centering on physical activity, strengthened teachers physical activity guidance capabilities, and established an environment in which physical activity can be sufficiently carried out. This was based on the implications obtained from the research results.
