국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 아버지의 양육참여와 유아의 정서조절능력의 관계에서 어머니의 양육효능감이 매개역할을 하는지 알아보는 것이다. 방법 이를 위해 J지역 어린이집을 이용하고 있는 만 3세~5세 유아의 어머니 477명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통하여 아버지의 양육참여 정도, 유아의 정서조절능력, 어머니의 양육효능감을 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 24.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 측정 변인 간의 상관관계를 분석하였고 Baron과 Kenny가 제안한 절차에 따라 매개분석을 실시하였다. 결과 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아버지의 양육참여, 어머니의 양육효능감, 유아의 정서조절 능력 간의 관계를 살펴본 결과, 각 변인 간 모두 유의한 정적상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 아버지의 양육참여와 유아의 정서조절능력의 관계에서 어머니 양육효능감의 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 부분 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구에서는 아버지의 양육참여와 유아의 정서조절능력의 관계에서 어머니의 양육효능감이 부분 매개효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 연구결과를 기반으로 아버지의 양육참여와 유아의 정서조절능력을 연결하는 매개요인으로 어머니의 양육효능감에 대한 이해를 확장시켰으며, 유아의 정서조절능력 함양을 위한 아버지의 양육참여와 어머니의 양육효능감을 증진시킬 수 있는 방안에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate whether mothers parenting efficacy plays a mediating role in the relationship between fathers parenting participation and young children’s emotional regulation ability. Methods For this purpose, a survey was conducted targeting 477 mothers of young children aged 3 to 5 who were using a daycare center in the J area. For the collected data, frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were calculated using SPSS 24.0 statistical program, and correlation and mediation analysis were performed. Results The study results are as follows. First, as a result of examining the relationship between father s parenting participation, mother s parenting efficacy, and young children’s ability to regulate emotions, significant positive correlations were found among all variables. Second, as a result of examining the mediating effect of mother s parenting efficacy in the relationship between father s parenting participation and young children’s emotional regulation ability, it was found to play a partial mediating role. Conclusions In this study, it was confirmed that the mother s parenting efficacy had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between father s parenting participation and young children’s emotional regulation ability. Based on the research results, we expanded our understanding of mothers parenting efficacy as a mediating factor linking fathers parenting participation and young children’s emotional regulation ability, and discussed ways to enhance young children s emotional regulation ability.
