중학교 기술⋅가정교과 식생활 단원에서 창의핵심역량을 적용한 PBL수업에 대한 형성적 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 중학교 기술⋅가정교과 ‘가족의 안전한 식생활’ 단원을 중심으로 창의핵심역량 기반의 PBL 수업모형을 적용한 후 형성적 연구방법론에 따라 수업의 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 대전 소재 중학교 2학년 학생 92명을 대상으로 PBL 수업을 실시하였고, 창의핵심역량과 PBL 수업 만족도를 측정하였다. 또한 서술형 문항과 자기성찰 보고서를 통해 창의핵심역량을 적용한 PBL 수업모형이 적절했는지와 학생들의 경험은 무엇이었는지를 알아보고, 수업의 강점, 약점, 개선점을 분석하고자 형성적 연구를 실시하였다. 결과 본 연구의 결과에 따르면, 창의핵심역량 기반의 PBL 수업 만족도는 전반적으로 높게 나타났으며, PBL 수업에 대한 학생들의 경험은 ‘다양한 삶의 방향을 탐색하고 경험하다’, ‘함께 하는 공동체의 즐거움을 맛보다’, ‘친구와 협력하여 문제를 해결하다’ 등이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 형성적 연구를 통해 분석한 수업의 강점, 약점, 개선점은 다음과 같다. 먼저, PBL 수업에서의 강점은 강의식 수업에 비해 학습자의 동기 및 흥미유발에 효과적이며, 적극적이고 자기주도적으로 문제를 해결하고자 하며, 협동하고 토론하면서 결과물을 만들어 간다는 점이다. 반면, 약점으로는 PBL 수업에 대한 이해(경험 부족)가 다소 부족하고, 문제해결을 위한 다양한 방식의 체험학습과의 연계가 필요하다는 점이 드러났다. 이에 따른 개선점으로는 PBL 수업에 대한 이해를 돕기 위한 사전교육을 실시하고, 수업 안내를 명확하게 하여야 한다는 것이다. 결론 중학교 기술⋅가정과 ‘가족의 안전한 생활’ 단원을 중심으로 창의핵심역량 기반의 PBL 수업은 학생들의 수업 만족도를 높이고 긍정적인 태도 형성에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있다. 이는 기술⋅가정과 교과목표를 달성하고 수업의 효과를 극대화하기 위한 방안을 탐색하는데 시사점을 제공하는 것이다. 따라서 향후 지속적인 PBL 수업 개발 및 적용을 통해 학생들의 창의핵심역량을 높이고 능동적인 학습 참여를 이끌어내는 것이 중요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives In this study, after applying the PBL instructional model based on the core creative competency centering on middle school technology and home and the ‘safe eating lifestyle of the family’ unit, the effect of the instruction is verified according to the formative research methodology. Methods For this purpose, PBL classes were conducted for 92 second-year middle school students in Daejeon, and creative core competency and PBL class satisfaction were measured. In addition, a formative study was conducted to find out whether the PBL class model that applied the core creativity competency was appropriate and what the students experiences were, and to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, and points of improvement through descriptive questions and self-reflection reports. Results According to the results of this study, satisfaction with PBL classes based on creative core competency was found to be high overall, and students experiences with PBL classes showed that ‘explore and experience various directions of life’ and ‘the joy of a community together’ It was found that there were ‘to taste’ and ‘to solve problems by collaborating with friends’. The strengths, weaknesses, and points for improvement of classes analyzed through formative research are as follows. First, the strengths of PBL classes are that they are effective in stimulating learners motivation and interest compared to lecture-style classes, that they try to solve problems positively and self-directed, and that they create results while collaborating and discussing. On the other hand, as weaknesses, it was revealed that the understanding of the PBL class(lack of experience) was somewhat lacking, and that it was necessary to link with experiential learning in various ways to solve problems. As an improvement point, it is necessary to conduct pre-education to help understand the PBL classes, and to make the classes guide clear. Conclusions It can be seen that PBL classes based on creative core competencies, centered on middle school technology, home and ‘safe eating lifestyle of the families’, increase students’ class satisfaction and affect positive attitudes. This is to provide implications for the exploration of ways to achieve technical, family and syllabus goals and maximize the effectiveness of classes. Therefore, it is important to increase students creative core competencies and induce active learning participation through continuous development and application of PBL classes in the future.
