실과교육과정의 내용체계 구조화 방안

국문 초록

목적 이 연구는 실과 교육과정 설계 절차에 따라 실과교육이 지향할 교육목표, 탐구대상, 내용 범주를 검토하고, 이에 따라 내용체계 구성안을 제안하는데 목적을 두고 수행되었다. 방법 이를 위해 그동안 실과교육학 분야에서 이루어진 연구들을 종합하는데 주력하였다. 연구는 주로 세 가지 연구 문제에 대한 답을 규명하는데 초점을 두고 이루어졌는데 실과의 교육목적과 탐구대상은 무엇인지, 실과의 탐구대상을 구체화한 실과 교육내용 범주 구성은 어떠해야 하는지, post 2015개정 실과교육과정에서의 내용체계 구성안은 어떠해야 하는지에 대해 탐구하였다. 결과 이 연구에서 제안된 실과교육과정의 내용체계 구성안은 먼저 실과의 탐구대상을 인공세계로 규정하였으며, 규정된 실과 탐구대상인 인공세계를 구체화하여 실과교육과정 내용구성을 위한 기초를 마련하였다. 이 구체화에 따라 중핵개념인 지식과 기능으로서 실천역량으로 나누어 제시하였는데, 중핵개념은 인공물과 체제, 발달과 가족, 생활과 문화, 관계와 시민성, 일과 진로의 5개로 분류하여 제안하였으며 기능(실천역량)은 선택, 설계, 관리의 세 가지 역량으로 종합하였다. 결론 사회적 변화 및 시대적 요구에 따라 교육과정을 개정하고, 전문가 집단의 합의에 의존한 교육과정 개정도 중요하지만, 다양한 연구 집단이 다양한 유형의 교육과정을 개발하여 국가 수준의 교육과정 개발에 이론적 기초를 제공할 필요가 있다. 이 연구는 다양한 연구 집단이 내어 놓은 의견 중 하나의 의견으로서 수용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to propose a plan to construct the content system of the next practical arts curriculum after reviewing previous studies related to the content of practical arts curriculum. Methods To this purpose, three research questions were set up, and previous studies conducted in the field of practical arts education were synthesized and content composition was proposed. Results The school subjects aim to understand the world surrounding the learner, and the Practical arts also aims to understand the artificial world. Contents of the artificial world could be divided into the core concepts(knowledges) and the capabilities(skills or abilities). The core concepts could be categorized into five categories: artifacts and systems, work and career, development and family, relationship and citizenship, and life and culture, and capabilities(practical competencies) could be categorized into ‘choice’, ‘design’, and ‘management’. Conclusions Until now, curriculum revisions of the Practical arts have followed social changes and demands of the society rather than based on specific theoretical backgrounds, and the development process has also tended to rely on expert consensus. However, in the future, it is necessary for various research groups to develop various types of curriculums without relying on the curriculum revision cycle to provide a theoretical basis for national-level curriculum development.
