아동의 그릿이 행복감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 아동의 그릿(끈기, 열정)이 행복감에 미치는 영향 파악과 이들 영향 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 방법 이를 위하여 육아정책연구소의 한국아동패널조사(2018) 자료를 통해 아동 1434명을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 이용하였다. 수집된 자료의 정규성을 파악하기 위해 기술통계를 실시하였으며, 주요 변수 간 관련성과 영향력을 분석하기 위해 상관관계분석 및 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 아동의 그릿(끈기, 열정)이 높을수록 행복감이 높은 것을 분석하였다. 둘째, 아동의 그릿(끈기, 열정)이 높을수록 자아존중감은 높아지는 것을 파악하였다. 셋째, 아동의 자아존중감이 높을수록 행복감은 높다는 것을 확인하였다. 넷째, 아동의 그릿(끈기, 열정)이 행복감에 미치는 영향 관계에서 자아존중감의 부분매개효과를 검증하였다. 결론 이를 바탕으로 아동의 행복감 증진시키기 위해서는 그릿(끈기, 열정)과 자아존중감의 향상 방안을 찾아 아동 복지에 적용할 수 있는 함의와 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of children s grit (persistence, passion) on happiness and to examine the mediating effect of self-esteem in these influence relationships. Methods For this purpose, 1,434 children were selected as research subjects through data from the Korea Children s Panel Survey (2018) of the Parenting Policy Research Institute. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 25.0 program. Descriptive statistics were performed to understand the normality of the collected data, and correlation and regression analysis were performed to analyze the relationship and influence between major variables. Results First, it was analyzed that the higher the children s grit (persistence, passion), the higher their sense of happiness. Second, it was found that the higher the child s grit (persistence, passion), the higher the self-esteem. Third, it was confirmed that the higher the child s self-esteem, the higher the sense of happiness. Fourth, the partial mediating effect of self-esteem was verified in the relationship between children s grit (persistence, passion) on happiness. Conclusions Based on this, in order to promote children s happiness, we intend to find ways to improve grit (persistence, passion) and self-esteem, and provide implications and basic data that can be applied to children s welfare.
