한국어 읽기 개작 수업 활동 양상 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 국어교육과 학생 28명의 성찰일지와 설문조사 분석을 통해 ‘외국어/제2언어로서의 한국어 읽기개작 과정’에서의 어려움과 해결 방법을 살펴보았고, 특히 ‘어려움’에 초점을 두어 수업 개선 방안을 모색해 보았다. 한국어교육 분야에서 예비교사가 겪는 개작 과정에서의 어려움과 해결 방법 과정을 실증적으로 탐색한 연구로는 처음으로 제시되어 연구의 의의가 있다. 성찰일지는 귀납적으로 범주화하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, ‘자료 선정에서의 어려움’은 ‘학습자 수준(급수)에 대한 이해 부족’, ‘읽기 개작 개념에 대한 이해 부족’, ‘외국인을 대상으로 가르치는 한국어교육에 대한 생소함’, ‘분량 조정’ 등으로 나타났다. ‘읽기 개작 과정에서의 어려움’은 크게 ‘텍스트 개작에서의 어려움’, ‘노래 개작에서의어려움’으로 구분해 해결 방법과 함께 제시하였다. 수업 개선 방안으로는 학생들이 가장 어려워하는 ‘학습자 수준에 대한 이해’를 돕기 위한 구체적인 장치 제시, 한국어 교재 적극 활용, 교수자의 적절한 시연과 모델링의 필요성, 학습자의 부담을 줄이기 위한 자료 지정, 예비교사들의 셀프모니터링 습관화를 위해 저학년 전공 수업에서부터성찰일지 작성하기를 제시하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study examined difficulties in the ‘process of rewriting Korean text as a foreign language/ second language’ and solutions by analyzing reflection journals and surveys of 28 students in the Korean Language Education Department. In particular, this study sought methods of improving classes while focusing on the ‘difficulties.’ The significance of this study is that it is the first study in the field of Korean language education that empirically explored the difficulties in the rewriting process experienced by prospective teachers and solutions. Reflection journals were analyzed by categorizing them inductively. Based on the analysis, ‘difficulties in data selection’ included the ‘lack of understanding in the level (grade) of learners,’ ‘lack of understanding in the concept of rewriting,’ ‘unfamiliarity with Korean language education for foreigners,’ and ‘adjustment of text length.’ ‘Difficulties in rewriting process’ were largely classified into the ‘difficulty in text rewriting,’ ‘difficulty in lyrics rewriting,’ These difficulties were presented with solutions. This study proposes methods of improving classes, such as specific devices to help ‘understanding the level of learners,’ necessity of adequate demonstration and modeling by teachers, active use korean textbooks, designation of data to lessen the burden of learners, and writing of reflection journals in lower-grade major classes to habituate selfmonitoring of prospective teachers.
