가야산 홍류동과 최치원의 관광스토리텔링 방안 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 가야산 홍류동에 분포하고 있는 고운 최치원의 문화자원을 관광스토리텔링으로 개발하는 방안을 모색한 것이다. 가야산 홍류동은 최치원의 역사적 자취로 인하여 자연경관에 문화의 가치가 더해졌다. 이들 문화자원은 ‘해인사 소리길’ 7Km 구간과 일주문 앞 부도군에서 경내에 이르기까지 분포되어 있으며 유·무형의 자원을 포함한다. 홍류동 문화자원은 고유한 특색에 따라 4개 구역으로 분류된다. 각 구역은 ‘세속과 신성’, ‘은둔과 비움’, ‘절승의 풍류’, ‘학자의 길’로 명명하였다. 이 이름을 통해 도보여행자들은 소리길 구역을 의미 단위로 새롭게 경험할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또 구역의 특색에 따라 ‘경계’, ‘은둔’, ‘풍류’, ‘학자’의 주제를 도출하였고 이 주제에적합한 스토리텔링 내용을 구성하였다. 관광객들은 공간에 부여된 주제를 통해 문화자원의 심층을 이해하고, 더 나아가 구역별 스토리텔링을 경험함으로써 공간의 이미지를 지속적으로 각인하게 된다. 그들은 풍부한 스토리를 통해 공간을 새롭게 경험하며 관광스토리텔링의 제공은 관광객들의 창조적인 경험을 촉진하는 동기로 작용할 수 있다. 가야산 홍류동이 갖는 자연미의수려함에 최치원의 은둔이라는 역사성이 관광스토리텔링으로 활용되면 관광객들은 이 공간에서 경험한 주제를 자기 삶으로 내면화하는 기회를 얻을 수 있으며 경험을 유의미하고 지속적인 것으로 만들어가게 될 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study is to explore ways to develop Goun Choi Chi-won s cultural resources, distributed in Gayasan Hongryu-dong, through tourism storytelling. At Gayasan Hongryu-dong, the cultural value was added to the natural scenery due to the historical traces of Choi Chi-won. These cultural resources are distributed over the 7km section of ‘Haeinsa Sori-gil’ and from stupas in front of Iljumun to the temple precincts, and include both tangible and intangible resources. Cultural resources are classified into four zones according to their unique characteristics. Each zone was named ‘the boundary between the mundane world and the sacred’, ‘the seclusion and emptiness’, ‘the enjoyment of outstanding views’, and ‘the path of scholars’. Through this name, it is expected that hikers will be able to newly experience the Sori-gil area as a unit of meaning. In addition, according to the characteristics of the zone, the topics of ‘boundary’, ‘seclusion’, ‘enjoyment’, and ‘scholar’ were derived and storytelling contents suitable for these topics were composed. Tourists understand the depth of cultural resources through the topics given to the space, and furthermore, they continuously imprint the image of the space by experiencing storytelling for each zone. They experience the space anew through rich stories, and the provision of tourism storytellings can act as a motivator to promote the creative experience of tourists. If the historicity of Chi-won Choi s seclusion in addition to the splendor of the natural beauty of Gayasan Hongryu-dong is utilized as tourism storytelling, tourists can get an opportunity to internalize the topics experienced in this space into their own lives, and make the experience meaningful and lasting.
