라오스 초급 한국어 교재 개발을 위한 기초 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 라오스 초급 한국어 교재 개발에 필요한 기초 내용 제공을 목적으로 라오스 대학의 한국어 학습자와 교사를 대상으로 한국어교재에 대한 만족도 및 요구 조사를 실시하여 분석하였다. 이를 위해 라오스 대학의 전공 및 교양 과정의 한국어 학습자 123명, 현지 한국인 교사 5명, 라오스인 전공 교수 6명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하여 빈도분석과 교차분석을 통해 결과를 도출하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현재 사용하는 교재에서 학습자는 학습활동의 부족, 교사는 주제, 내용 등이라오스 상황에 맞지 않음을 문제로 인식하였다. 둘째, 학습자의 경우 교재 구성물 중 워크북에 대한 요구가 높았으며 문법과 어휘, 말하기와 듣기를 중요한 학습 내용으로 인식하고 있었다. 교재에 제시되는 상황은 라오스에서한국어를 사용하는 상황을 더 선호하였으며 반복적인 형태 연습과 단계별 문법 연습 활동에 대한 요구 정도가 높았다. 또한, 번역에서도 문법과 어휘에 대한 요구 정도가 제일 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 교사의 경우 주교재에 대한개선 요구가 제일 높았으며 단원 구성은 현지 교육과정에 맞게 9-10단원이 적절한 것으로 보고 있었다. 교재의 형태는 통합교재, 번역에서는 문법과 어휘에 대한 요구 정도가 제일 높았다. 마지막으로 교사와 학습자의 요구는 필요한 구성물 중 ‘오디오 CD’와 ‘주교재’(χ2 =12.887, p<.05), 번역이 필요한 부분 중 ‘문법 설명’과 ‘문화’(χ2= 39.575, p<.001)에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 라오스 초급 한국어 교재는 통합 교재로 개발해야 하며 학습 내용은 문법과 어휘, 말하기와 듣기에 중점을 두어야 한다. 특히 문법과 어휘는 한국어와 대조하여 라오어 설명을 제시하여 학습자의 이해를 높여야 한다. 또한, 워크북은 다양한 언어 기능 및 내용 연습을 할 수 있어야 한다. 이후 학습자의 학습동기 중 가장 높았던 문화 항목이 학습 내용으로는 요구가 가장 적은 것에 대한 연구가 이어질 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study were to analyzed the satisfaction and needs of Korean language textbooks for Korean language learners and instructors in Laos universities in order to provide the basic contents for the development of Korean textbooks for beginners in Laos. This survey has been conducted on both 123 students and 5 local Korean instructors, 6 Laotian professors in major at Laos University through questionnaires. And we were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 and through frequency and χ2 verification. The analysis results are as follows. First, in the currently used textbook, students recognized the lack of learning activities, and the instructors recognized that the topic and content did not appropriate the Laos situation as a problem. Second, in the case of students, the demand of workbooks among the textbooks was high, and they recognized grammar and vocabulary, speaking and listening as important contents. The situation presented in the textbook preferred the situation in Laos to use Korean, and the demand for repetitive form practice and step-bystep grammar practice activities was high. Also, in translation, the requirements for grammar and vocabulary were the highest. Third, in the case of instructors, the demand for improvement of the main textbook was the highest, and the composition of the units was considered to be appropriate for the local curriculum in 9-10 units. The demand were the highest about integrated textbook and the translation requirements for grammar and vocabulary in the textbook. Lastly, the needs of instructors and students are ‘audio CD’ and ‘Main material’(χ2=12.887, p<.05) among the necessary components, and ‘Grammar explanation’ and ‘Culture’(χ2=39.575, p<.001) among the parts that need translation showed a significant difference. The Korean textbook for beginners in Laos should be developed as an integrated textbook, and the learning content should focus on grammar and vocabulary, speaking and listening. In particular, grammar and vocabulary should be contrasted with Korean and Lao explanations should be presented to enhance learners’ understanding. In addition, the workbook should be able to practice various language functions and content. It is necessary to continue research on cause of Korean culture, which had the highest among the motivation of learning Korean, was the lowest learning needs.
