국문 초록

본 연구는 한국의 멸종위기종 복원 인식 척도(K-ESRAS: Korea s Endangered Species Restoration Awareness Scale)를 개발하고 타당화하는데 목적이 있다. 척도의 개발은 예비문항 개발, 예비검사, 본 검사, 최종척도개발 순으로 진행되었다. 연구대상은 멸종위기종 중 대형 식육목 복원 가능지역인 강원도 지역주민과 수도권지역주민으로, 해당 지역에 3년 이상 거주한 만 19세 이상으로 예비검사는 148명, 본 검사는 307명이다. 연구절차는 먼저 예비문항 개발을 위해 문헌 및 선행연구 고찰을 통하여 문항을 개발하였고, 2단계에 걸쳐 질적 내용타당도 검증과 양적 내용타당도 검증 절차를 통해 예비문항을 개발하였다. 예비문항에 대한 신뢰도와 타당도 검증은탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석을 거쳐 최종적으로 멸종위기 동물과 인간생활의 연관성, 멸종위기 동물에 관한인식, 멸종위기 동물 복원에 관한 인식, 지역사회와의 문제 인식, 멸종위기 동물 복원에 관한 태도, 멸종위기 동물에 관한 태도 등 6개의 하위요인과 24문항의 척도가 개발되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 한국 멸종위기종 복원인식 척도 개발의 의의와 제한점 및 후속연구에 대한 제언을 논하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to develop and validate Korea s Endangered Species Restoration Awareness Scale(K-ESRAS). The whole process include the development of preliminary questions, preliminary test, main test and final scale. The study subjects were residents of Gangwon-do, an area where endangered large carnivore species can be restored, and residents of the metropolitan area. They were 19 years of age or older who had lived in the area for 3 years or more. The 148 were included in the preliminary test however in the main test, 307 people were included. As for the research procedure, first, questions were developed through review of literature and prior research for preliminary question development, and preliminary questions were developed through qualitative content validity verification and quantitative content validity verification procedures in two stages. The reliability and validity of the preliminary questions was tested through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, and finally, the relationship between endangered animals and human life, awareness of endangered animals, awareness of restoration of endangered animals, and communication with the local community. Six sub-factors and a 24-item scale were developed, including problem perception, attitudes toward endangered animals restoration, and attitudes toward endangered animals. Based on these results, the significance and limitations of the development of Korea’s endangered species restoration awareness scale and suggestions for follow-up studies were discussed.
