국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 중학교 3학년 수학 교과서에 제시된 과제를 인지적 요구 수준에 따라 분석한 후 추론의 관점에서 인지적 요구 수준에 따른 추론의 하위요소가 어떻게 반영되어 있는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 기하 영역 중 중학교 3학년의 ‘원의 성질’ 단원을 선정하고 중학교 수학 교과서 5종을 대상으로 348개의 수학과제를 분류하고 분석틀에 따라 인지적 요구 수준과 이에 따른 추론의 하위요소를 분석하였다. 결과 추론 과제의 대부분은 인지적 요구 수준이 낮은 것으로 나타났으며, 이처럼 인지적 요구 수준이 낮은 과제는 추론의 하위요소 중 하나의 요소만을 포함하는 것으로 나타난 반면, 인지적 요구 수준이 높은 과제일수록 추론의 하위요소를 많이 포함하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 추론 학습이 특정 요소에 치우치지 않고 다양한 수준과 역량의 요소를 고루 발전시키도록 개발될 필요가 있으며, 교사가 과제의 인지적 요구 수준에 따라 유연한 추론 학습상황을 구성할 필요가 있음을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze the mathematical tasks presented in middle school seniors math textbooks according to the cognitive demand levels and survey how sub-factors of inference are included in the tasks. Methods For this purpose, we chose the Circle Properties Unit for 5 types of middle school seniors math textbooks and classify 348 tasks from the textbooks to analyze the cognitive demand levels and sub-factors of inference included in the tasks. Results Studies have shown that most of the inference tasks have low cognitive demand levels, and that tasks with low cognitive demand levels contain only one component of inference. Furthermore, it has been shown that the higher the level of cognitive demand, the more sub-factors of inference are included. Conclusions These findings suggest that elements of various levels and capacities should be developed evenly, rather than mathematical education, which emphasizes certain factors, and that teachers need to construct flexible inference learning situations according to the cognitive level of the task.
