R 프로그램을 활용한 과학영재교육 국제 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 과학영재교육 분야의 국제 연구 동향을 알아보기 위해 R 프로그램을 활용하여 서지 분석 연구를 수행하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 Web of Science 데이터베이스를 통해 SCI급 과학영재교육 분야 논문 442개를 추출하고, 이를 Bibliomerix 라이브러리와 Biblioshiny 앱을 활용하여 분석하였다. 결과 연구 결과 국제적인 과학영재교육 분야는 공동 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있었으나 우리나라의 경우 미국 외에는 공동 연구 네트워크가 제대로 형성되어 있지 못했다. 한편 과학영재교육 관련 키워드 분석 결과 과학영재가 보이는 성취나 능력과 관련한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있었고, 이에 못지 않게 과학영재들이 성별 차이를 나타내는 이유에 대한 연구도 활발히 진행되고 있었다. 또한 이 분야의 핵심 연구는 과학영재에 대해 장기간에 걸쳐 추적하며 진행된 종단 연구인 경우가 많았다. 결론 따라서 우리나라에서도 미국 외의 다른 여러나라들과 과학영재교육 연구를 위한 국제적인 네트워크를 형성해 나갈 필요가 있으며, 과학영재교육에서의 성별 차이 등, 소수자 문제에 대한 연구가 보다 활발히 진행될 필요가 있다. 또한 우리나라에서도 장기간에 걸쳐 과학영재들이 어떠한 변화를 겪어가는지 살펴보는 좋은 종단 연구가 수행될 필요가 있다고 판단된다.

영문 초록

Objectives In this study, a bibliometric analysis was conducted using the R program to find out the international research trends in the field of science gifted education. Methods For this purpose, 442 papers in SCI-level science gifted education were extracted through the Web of Science database and analyzed using the Bibliomerix library and the Biblioshiny app. Results As a result of the study, collaboration research was being actively conducted in the international science gifted education field. However, collaboration research network was not established well except in the United States. As a result of keyword analysis, research on the achievements and abilities of science gifted students was being actively conducted. In addition, research about gender differences in the field of science gifted education was also actively conducted. In addition, the core research in this field was longitudinal studies of science gifted students followed over a long period of time. Conclusions Therefore, it is necessary to form an international network for research on science gifted education with other countries. Moreover, there is a need for more active research on minority issues, such as gender differences in science gifted education. In addition, good longitudinal studies should be conducted in Korea.
