언어 네트워크 분석을 활용한 과학과 교과 역량에 대한 중등예비교사의 인식 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정의 5가지 과학과 교과 역량에 대한 중등예비과학교사들의 인식을 알아보기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 통합과학 연계전공을 이수하는 예비교사 42명을 대상으로 5가지 과학과 교과 역량에 대해 본인만의 언어로 2~3 문장 서술하도록 하는 설문을 진행했다. 연구 방법은 NetMiner4 프로그램을 활용한 언어 네트워크 분석을 활용하였으며, 주로 중심성 분석 결과를 이용한 네트워크 시각화를 통해 주요 데이터를 표현했다. 연구 결과 예비교사들은 과학과 교과 역량에 대해 현 교육과정의 서술 내에서 큰 오해 없이 이해하고 있는 것으로 보였지만 현직교사들의 과학과 교과 역량에 대한 이해와는 어느 정도 차이를 보였다. 특히 예비교사들은 현직교사들에 비해 과학적 탐구 능력 및 과학적 의사 소통 능력에 대한 이해가 다소 부족하다고 판단되었다. 또한 예비교사들은 과학과 교과 역량간 선후 관계가 있다고 생각하고 있었고, 다섯 가지 교과 역량 모두에서 ‘지식’이 연결중심성 순위에서 상위에 나타나는 등 과학과 교과 역량에 대해 지식 위주로 이해하는 모습을 보였다. 본 연구에 나타난 주요 연구 결과를 바탕으로 중등 과학과 예비교사교육을 위한 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to find out the perception of pre-service teachers about the five science subject competencies of the 2015 revised curriculum. To this end, a questionnaire was conducted for 42 pre-service teachers who majored in integrated science. We asked them to describe the five science subject competencies in 2~3 sentences in their language. The research method utilized the semantic network analysis using the NetMiner4 program, and the main data was expressed mainly through network visualization using the result of centrality analysis. As a result of this study, the pre-service teachers seemed to understand the science subject competency without much misunderstanding within the description of the current curriculum. However, there was some difference from the in-service teachers understanding of the science subject competency. In particular, it was judged that the understanding of scientific inquiry ability and scientific communication ability was insufficient compared to the in-service teachers. More than that, the pre-service teachers thought that there was a predecessor relationship between science subject competencies, and in all five subject competencies, ‘knowledge’ appeared at the top in the connection-centrality ranking. Thus result showed that the pre-service teachers understood science subject competencies based on knowledge. Based on the main results, implications for pre-service teacher education were presented.
