중학교 신입생 전환기 교육을 위한 역량 도출

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 중학교 신입생의 교육을 실시하기 위해 역량과 행동지표를 도출하는 것이다. 중학교 신입생 역량과 행동지표를 도출하기 위하여 선행문헌 검토, 설문조사, 전문가 타당도 검토(2회)를 실시했다. 연구 결과, 중학교 신입생 역량은 3개 역량군(학습, 학생생활, 공간 및 테크놀로지)으로 유목화하여 총 8개의 역량과 16개의 행동지표가 개발되었다. 학습 역량군은 1. 자기주도학습 역량, 2. 질문생성 및 탐구 역량, 3. 의사소통 및 협업역량, 학생생활 역량군은 4. 자기관리 역량, 5. 대인관계 역량, 6. 민주적 참여 역량, 공간 및 테크놀로지 역량군은 7. 학교공간 활용 역량, 8. 테크놀로지 활용 역량이었다. 본 연구에서 도출한 역량과 행동지표에 기반하여 총 15차시 교육을 실행하였다. 신입생 교육 실행에 참여한 교사들은 본 교육이 신입생들에게 친절하다고 인식하였으며 본 연구에서 도출한 역량과 행동지표에 대한 해석과 기존 교육활동과의 효과적인 통합이 필요하다고 평가하였다. 한편, 학생들은 신입생 교육을 통해 중학교 생활에 대한 긴장감과 불안감을 해소하였고, 학교생활에 필요한 실질적인 역량을 확보하였다고 평가하였다. 본 연구는 전환기 청소년들을 위한 교육 프로그램 마련과 역량 중심의 중학교 자유학년제 운영을 지원하기 위한 전략수립에 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The study aims to identify middle school students competencies and behavioral indicators to implement transition education. To identify the competencies and behavioral indicators, this study followed a process of relevant literature review, a questionnaire survey, and a two-step validity review by experts. The results of this study identified three categorized clusters of competencies for middle school students and finalized 8 competencies and 16 behavioral indicators. The identified competencies were as follows: Learning Competency Group (1. Self-directed learning competency, 2. Question generation and inquiry competency, 3. Communication and collaboration competency), Student Life competency group (4. Self-management competency, 5. Interpersonal relationship competency, 6. Democratic participation competency), Space and Technology competency group (7. School space utilization competency, 8. Technology utilization competency). Based on the competencies and behavioral indicators derived from this study, 15 educational programs were implemented. The teachers who designed and implemented the programs recognized them as the programs that support new students who are experiencing dramatic changes moving from primary to middle school. Furthermore, they evaluated that it was necessary to integrate the existing educational programs and interpretation of the competencies and behavioral indicators derived from this study. The students commented that they were able to alleviate worries and anxieties about the adjustment and that they were able to acquire practical skills necessary for their middle school life. This study may provide implications for establishing a strategy to support the provision of educational programs for youth in transition and the operation of the competency-centered middle school free grade system.
