사주 십성(十星)의 계량화(計量化)와 활용에 대한 고찰

국문 초록

최근 인문 · 사회과학의 다양한 영역에서 특정한 현상을 수치화하고 분석하여 이를 토대로 객관적인 결과를 도출하는 기법인 계량화(計量化, quantification)가 많이 활용되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 계량화 기법을 도입하여 사주의 십성(十星)을 분석하고 사람의 인성 · 적성 · 육친 · 사회적 요소에 대해 활용하는 방법론을 연구하는 것이다. 논자는 선행논문에서 만세력 어플에 의해 쉽게 사주명조의 오행을 알 수 있는 현재의 시류에 따라 명리학의 활용성을 증진시키고자 사주오행의 계량화와 적용법을 고찰하였으나 한계가 있었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 선행논문의 한계를 보완하기 위해 사주 십성의 역량(力量)에 대한 계량화와 그에 따른 적용법을 연구하였다. 논자는 연구목적의 달성을 위해 십성의 분류기준과 특징을 주요 명리 고전을 인용하여 현대적 관점으로 해설하였고 선행논문에서 오행의 역량을 수량화한 방식을 십성에도 동일하게 적용하여 십성의 종류별로 무(無) · 쇠(衰) · 안정(安定) · 왕(旺) 극왕(極旺)으로 분류하였다. 십성이 오행을 가짐에 주목하여 십성과 오행의 성향을 60대40의 바율로 융합하여 인 · 적성을 분석하는 방식을 채용한 후, 서양의 ‘HOLLAND이론’과의 연관성을 살폈다. 이어서 사람의 사주에서 인성(人性)은 십성과 십성이 갖는 오행이 무 · 쇠 · 왕 · 극왕의 수량적 특성에 따라 융합되고 적성은 왕 · 극왕한 십성과 그 십성이 갖는 오행의 특징이 융합되어 발현함을 고찰하였다. 또한 십성이 나타내는 육친과 사회적 요소는 각 십성별 역량의 왕쇠에 따라 유의해야 할 7가지 유형을 분류하고 예시하였다. 본 논문을 통해 다양한 분야에서 명리학의 활용성이 증대되는 전기가 마련되기를 바란다.

영문 초록

Recently, quantification has been used in various domains of human and social sciences as a technique for digitizing and analyzing certain phenomena and deriving objective outcomes based on analysis within those domains. The purpose of this study is to introduce the quantification techniques to analyze the Ten Stars in the Saju of Destiny and search for a method to use them toward a person’s character, aptitude, Six Kins, and social elements. In this study, the quantification and application of the Five Virtues of the Four Pillars were examined in order to promote the usability of Myeongli Science by following the trend of the times such as using the perpetual calendar app to identify the Five Virtues of the Four Pillars according to preceding studies. However, there were limits. To supplement the limits of the preceding studies, the capabilities of the Ten Stars in Saju were quantified, and the Ten Factors were applied. To fulfill the purpose of the study, the classification criteria and characteristics of the Ten Factors were explained from a modern viewpoint using the major classics of Myeongli Science and the method for quantifying the capabilities of the Five Virtues from previous studies was applied to the Ten Factors in the same manner. In addition, the types of the Ten Stars Factors were classified into Nothingness, Declination, Stability, Prosperity, and Extreme Prosperity. By focusing on the point that Ten Factors have Five Virtues, a method of analyzing character and aptitude by combining the inclinations of the Ten Factors and Five Virtues in the ratio of 60:40 was adopted and its correlation with the Western “HOLLAND Theory” was examined. In addition, this study examined the manifestation of character in a person s Saju through a fusion between Ten Stars and their Five Virtues based on the quantitative characteristics of Nothingness, Declination, Prosperity, and Extreme prosperity and of aptitude, through a fusion between Prosperous and Extremely Prosperous Ten Stars and the Five Virtues of the Ten Stars. For Six Kins and the social elements represented by the Ten Stars, seven types that need to be kept in view depending on the Declination and Prosperity of the capabilities of each of the Ten Stars were classified and instantiated. This study may mark a milestone for increasing the use of Myeongli Science in various areas.
