내러티브 접근법과 연극놀이를 통한 대학교 교양교육으로서의 인성교육

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 ‘인성교육’의 새로운 교육 방법론을 제시하는 데 있다. 내러티브 접근법과 연극놀이방법론을 적용하여 이론중심 수업의 한계를 극복하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 필자는 ‘머리로만 학습하는’ 인성교육의 한계를 극복하고 학생 스스로가 학습의 중심에 설 수 있도록, 그리고 학습활동의 주인공으로서 수업에 직접 참여할 수 있도록 노력하였다. 그리고 학생들의 참여를 실현하기 위해 방법론적으로 본 교과목은 (1) 내러티브 접근법을 토대로 말하기와 글쓰기를 병행하면서, (2) 교육연극 기법을 적용하여 학생이 직접 역할극에 참여하는 ‘연극놀이’를 활용하고 있다. 필자는 이 교과목에서의 사례 연구를 통해 필자의 수업 운영 과정 및 결과에 대해 반성하고 개선점을 찾아보고자 하였다. 이러한 수업 운영 경험을 공유하고 가능하면 확산하고자 한다. 더불어 내러티브 접근법과 연극놀이를 활용한 수업이 대학교양교육에서 운영이 가능한지를 살펴보았고, 이 수업이 주는 여러 긍정적인 교육적 효과에 대해 논의해보았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to establish a new educational methodology for human-building education. This methodology is based on a narrative approach and drama play to overcome the limitations of theory-based human-building education that teaches students to “learn only with their heads.” Moreover, this methodology will place the students themselves at the center of learning and encourage them to participate in the class as a master of learning activities. To increase student engagement, this course is divided into two parts: (1) speaking and writing on the basis of a narrative approach, (2) performing a role in a play by applying a pedagogical theater technique. I have attempted to determine the improvement in students, their reflections on the course, and the results of my methodology through a case study on this subject. I would like to share my experiences gained in these classes with other students and spread the use of this methodology wherever applicable. In addition, I investigated whether this methodology can be implemented in colleges and universities teaching liberal arts, and discussed with them the various positive educational effects of this methodology.
