미디어 중독 예방 강의 운영에 대한 강사의 인식 탐색

국문 초록

청소년기의 심리적인 문제를 제대로 치료받지 못한다면, 그 영향은 이후의 삶 전체를 지배하기 때문에 청소년의 미디어 중독에 대한 연구가 시급한 실정이다. 청소년들의 과도한 인터넷 및 스마트폰 사용으로 인한 신체적, 심리적으로 발생될 수 있는 문제를 예방하고 건강한 성장을 보다 효과적인 개입의 필요성에 따라 본 연구는 미디어 중독 강의 운영에 대한 강사의 인식을 탐색하여 강의 운영의 실제를 탐색적으로 파악하고 어려움, 개선방안을 정리하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 또한, 강의에 포함되어야 할 필수요소에 대한 내용을 함께 정리하여 미디어 중독 예방 및 치료 강의 운영을 위한 실제적 개선안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 서울시 6개 인터넷중독 예방상담센터에서 미디어 교육 강의를 운영하는 49명의 강사를 대상으로 온라인 설문을 시행한 후 CQR-M의 방법으로 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 미디어 교육 내용 요소 중 학습자들이 긍정적으로 인식하는 내용은 기본기술, 매체활용, 놀이통합적 접근, 진행방식의 4가지 범주로 나타났다. 둘째, 미디어 교육 강사의 역량 요소로, 강의 기술, 기본적 자질, 전문지식, 타 분야 활용 4가지 범주로 분석되었다. 마지막으로 미디어 중독 예방 강사를 위한 역량강화 요구 사항 및 정책 제안에 대해 교육환경, 운영기관 특성, 교육의뢰 주최, 교육의뢰 배경의 4가지 범주로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 교육의 수요자가 되는 학습자들의 인식을 통해 미디어 전문 강사 역량 강화 교육과정 및 실제 학습자에 반영할 수 있는 구체적인 시사점을 제공하였다는 의의를 지닌다.

영문 초록

Research about adolescent media addiction and its link to psychological problems is urgently required as a person’s adolescent life may have a great impact on their future life. As there is a need for more effective interventions to prevent physical and psychological problems related to adolescents’ excessive internet and smartphone usage and to support their healthy development in life, this study aimed to use exploratory analysis of practical class operations to organize the problems and improve class plans by understanding the instructors’ cognizance about media addiction class operations. In addition, it presents practical improvement proposals for the media addiction prevention therapeutic class operations by organizing the contents and requirements of the classes. An online survey was completed by forty-nine instructors from six internet addiction prevention counselling centers where media education classes were operated in Seoul, South Korea. Data was analyzed using the CQR-M method. As a result, four media education content factors that students perceived positively were categorized into: basic skill, media utilization, recreation integration approach, and progress method. Four requisites of competence of media educating instructors were categorized into: teaching technique, basic elements, professional knowledge, and application in other fields. Four areas of improvement and policy suggestions were categorized into: educational environment, operating organizations quality, organizers’ training requests, and the background of training requests. The results of this study in relation to the awareness of the students in the classes will provide specific implications which will be reflected in media-specialized instructor competence, empowerment, and actual learning.
