국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 지적장애 학생이 성공적인 성인생활로 전환하기 위해 배워야할 기능적인 성인생활기술을 가르치는데 대한 특수교사들의 중요도 및 수행도 인식 수준을 알아보는데 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 위하여 전국 특수학교 및 특수학급에 재직 중인 중등특수교사 273명을 연구 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중요도 인식에 있어서 교사들은 6가지 기능적 성인생활기술 중에서 지역사회활용 에 관련된 기술을 가르치는 것이 가장 중요하다고 인식하고 있고, 상대적으로 가정생활 과 관련된 기술을 가르치는 것이 덜 중요하다고 인식하고 있었다. 수행도 인식에 있어서도 지역사회활용 에 관련된 기술을 가르치는데 많은 노력을 기울이고 있었고, 상대적으로 가정생활 과 관련된 기술을 가르치는 데 노력을 덜 기울이고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 기능적 성인생활기술에 대한 교사의 중요 도와 수행도 간의 인식 수준 차이를 통해 10가지 시급하게 요구되는 교수 수행요구 항목을 제시하였다. 둘째, 지적장애 학생이 배워야 할 기능적인 성인생활기술 교수에 대한 특수교사들의 중요도 인식 수준과 현장에서의 수행도 인식수준 차이를 교사 배경변인에 따라 세분화하여 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of recognition of the importance and performance of special teachers on functional adult life skills that students with intellectual disabilities should learn to have successful transform into adult life. For the purpose of this study, the researchers conducted a questionnaire survey of 273 special secondary school teachers in special schools and special classes nationwide. The results of the study are as follows. First, in the perceived importance, teachers recognize that it is most important to teach the skills related to ‘ community utilization out of the six functional adult life skills, and that it is less important to teach skills related to ‘family life.’ In the perceived performance, teachers were also trying to teach the skills related to community utilization among six functional adult life skills, and showed relatively less effort to teach the skills related to family life. The 10 item of instructional requirement were presented through the difference of perception between teachers’ perceived importance and performance in functional adult life skills. Second, according to the teachers background variables, the difference of perceived importance and performance level of special education teachers in teaching functional adult life skills is presented. Based on the results of this study, some suggestions and limitation are as follows.
