중등교사양성과정에 대한 개선방향 탐색: 예비교사 대상 FGI를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 교직과목을 이수하는 학생들을 대상으로 초점집단면담을 실시한 후, 이에 근거하여 중등교사양성과정에 대한 개선방향을 도출하고자 하였다. 면담 내용을 분석한 결과, 수업 측면에서 학생들은 ①내용적 측면: 현장에의 실질적 도움이 되는 내용, ②방법적 측면: 교·강사의 열정과 생각할 수 있는 기회 그리고 피드 백, ③평가적 측면: 암기를 유발하지 않고, 생각할 기회를 주는 시험방식을 원하고 있었다. 교육과정 측면에서는 ①이수학점 측면: 교직과목 이수에 대한 부담, ②이수 과목 측면: 전공과목 구성의 단조로움과 내용전문성 향상의 부족, ③교수분포 측면: 특정 전공이나 내용학 교수 위주의 구성 등의 부분에서 불만을 가지고 있었다. 시스템 측면에서는 ①교사가 되고 싶지 않은 학생의 학습의지 저하: 면학 분위기 형성에의 장애, ②상대평가의 압박: 수업 선택에 있어서의 제약 등에 있어서 부정적 인식을 가지고 있었다. 이러한 연구결과에 의거하여 다음과 같이 개선방향을 제안할 수있다. 첫째, 중등교사 양성을 위한 교육과정기준을 국가 수준에서 개발할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 교직과목의 종류와 내용을 체계화 및 계열화할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 학생들이 K-MOOC와 같은 온라인 수업 등을 수강하였을 때 이를 학점으로 인정해주는 제도가 확대될 필요가 있다. 넷째, 학생평가 방식을 절대평가 방식으로 전환할 필요가 있다. 다섯째, 교사를 진로로 확정한 학생들에 한해 교사자격증을 수여할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to conduct the focus group interviews with students who attended teaching training course and to analyze the results and identify the improvement direction related to the training process of secondary school pre-service teachers. The results of the analysis are as follows. In terms of teaching & Learning, feedback from students are divided into three areas: (1) content aspects: practical contents on the site, (2) methodological aspects: the enthusiasm of the lecturer, the opportunity to think and feedback, (3) evaluation aspects: test method that gives opportunity to think without causing memorization. And then in terms of the curriculum, (1) academic degree aspects: burden on completion of teaching subject, (2) the subjects of the course aspects: monotony of major subject composition and lack of content expertise improvement, (3) professor distribution aspects: composition based on specific major or content subject. Lastly on the system side, (1) decline student s willingness to learn, who do not want to be teachers: the obstacles to the formation of the academic atmosphere, (2) compression of the relative evaluation: constraints on the choice of class. Based on the results of studies, the following directions for improvement can be suggested. First, it is necessary to develop curriculum standards at the national level to train secondary school teachers, considering what students want in terms of teaching & Learning. Second, as students have a burden of completing their teaching courses, it is necessary to systematize and integrate the types and contents of teaching subjects. Third, it is necessary to expand the system of recognizing students as credit when they take courses in other universities or online such as K-MOOC. Fourth, it is necessary to convert the student evaluation method to the absolute evaluation method. Fifth, it is necessary to award teachers certificates only to students who want to be teacher by significantly improving the open system of secondary school pre-service teacher training.
