음악활동에서 발현되는 유아교사의 음악교수내용지식 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 음악활동에서 발현되는 유아교사의 음악교수내용지식을 분석하여 좋은 음악수업의 방향을 모색하는 것이다. 본 연구의 참여자는 두 명의 유아교사로 2017년 10월부터 2018년 1월 사이 11회의 음악활동과 면담자료를 분석하였다. 두명의 교사가 음악활동 실제에서 발현한 음악교수내용지식은 1)교과내용 지식으로는 확고한 음악교육에 대한 신념, 음악을 위한 음악활동과 음악을 통한 음악활동의 균형, 적합한 음악교육 청사진 수립의 어려움에 대한 지식을 나타냈으며, 2)교육학적 지식으로 음악적인 교수행동, 효율적인 교수매체, 다양한 반복 제공의 지식이 보였 으며, 3)상황적 지식으로 발달에 적합한 유아음악교육을 위한 외부적 환경에 대한 바램과 다양한 인적·물리적 환경의 활용의 지식을 나타내었다. 이를 통해 음악교수 내용지식의 중요성과 역할을 논의하며 음악이라는 영역특수적인 음악교수내용지식이 존재함을 시사하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the characteristics of pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) in teaching musical activities in kindergarten. Eleven musical activities and interviews of two early childhood teachers were collected and analyzed by classifying PCK components such as ‘the subject matter knowledge’, ‘the pedagogical knowledge’ and ‘the contextual knowledge’. First, ‘the subject matter knowledge’ was characterized by ‘well-established teacher’s belief about music education’, ‘musical activities for music itself’, and ‘annual instruction design based on the degree of difficulty of musical activities.’ Secondly, ‘The pedagogical knowledge’ was categorized as ‘musical teaching behaviors’, ‘efficient teaching materials’ and ‘various repetition activities’. Finally, ‘The contextual knowledge’ was characterized by ‘constant teacher’s reflection on musical knowledge and teaching method’, ‘application of human-environment resources’. To round it all up, the findings suggest that musical pedagogical content knowledge (MPCK) plays a crucial role in teaching music in kindergarten and in doing so, domain-specific MPCK should be embedded in musical activities for young children.
