국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 아동기 정서적 외상이 성인기 관계중독 성향에 미치는 영향에서 불안애착과 내면화된 수치심의 매개효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한번 이상 연애경험이 있는 성인 남녀 465명을 대상으로 아동기 정서적 외상 척도, 불안 애착 척도, 내면화된 수치심 척도, 관계중독 척도를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 구조방정식을 통한 매개모형 검증을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 아동기 정서적 외상은 불안애착, 내면화된 수치심 및 관계중독 성향과 정적 상관을 나타냈다. 둘째, 아동기 정서적 외상이 불안애착을 거쳐 관계중독 성향에 간접 적인 영향을 미친다는 완전매개 효과가 유의하였으며, 내면화된 수치심 역시 정서적 외상과 관계중독 성향 간의 관계에서 완전매개효과를 나타냈다. 셋째, 불안애착은 내면화된 수치심을 거쳐 관계중독 성향에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 이중매개 효과를 나타냈다. 이는 아동기 정서적 외상 경험이 관계중독에 주요한 원인이 될 수 있으며, 아동기 정서적 외상은 애착 형성을 방해하고 이는 수치심을 내면화시킴으로써 관계 중독적 성향으로 이어질 수 있음을 제시한다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 관계중독과 관련하여 상담에서 갖는 시사점 및 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of anxious attachment and internalized shame on the relation between childhood emotional trauma and relationship addiction tendency. For this study, self-report data was collected from 465 men and women for childhood emotional trauma, anxious attachment, internalized shame, and relationship addiction. Structural Equation Modeling was employed to examine the hypothesis. The results were as follows. First, there were significant positive correlations among childhood emotional trauma, anxious attachment, internalized shame, and relationship addiction tendency. Second, the association between childhood emotional trauma and relationship addiction tendency was fully mediated by internalized shame as well as anxious attachment. Third, the association between anxious attachment and relationship addiction was mediated by internalized shame. These results imply that it is required to consider psychological mechanisms of childhood emotional trauma, anxious attachment and internalized shame in developing the program for preventing and treating relationship addiction. Implications and limitations of these findings were discussed.
