취업준비생의 심리적 어려움에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 취업 준비 과정에서 심리적인 어려움을 겪고 있는 대학생에 대한 합의적 질적 연구(Consensual Qualitative Research: CQR)이다. 연구 문제는 ‘취업준비생의 심리적 어려움과 대처방안은 무엇인가?’ 이며, 이에 따른 연구 대상은 H대학에서 취업 준비를 하고 있는 4학년 대학생들 중 최근 심리적 스트레스를 호소하고 있는 8 명으로 2017년 3월부터 5월 중순 사이에 이들을 대상으로 반구조화 된 인터뷰를 통하여 자료를 수집하고, 같은 해 5월 말부터 8월 경 분석을 진행하였다. 분석 결과, 4 가지 영역과 16가지 범주의 심리적인 어려움이 나타났으며, 1가지 영역과 5가지 범주의 심리적 어려움에 대한 대처방안이 도출되었다. 심리적 어려움의 4가지 영역은 정서 상태, 신체적 상태, 성격 및 발달적 상태, 환경 및 문화적 상태이며 대처방안의 1가지 영역은 취업 준비에 필요한 도움이다. 결론 및 제언에서는 연구 결과를 바탕 으로 한 논의와 한계점, 후속연구에 대한 제안 등을 보고하였다.

영문 초록

This study is a qualitative study, employing Consensual Qualitative Research (CQR), of college students, who are suffering from psychological difficulties in preparing for employment. This study aims to investigate psychological difficulties and resolutions of college students in employment preparation. The participants of this study are eight seniors preparing for employment at H University, who reported experiencing psychological stress. The data was collected through semi-structured interviews between March 2017 and May 2017 and analyzed through CQR between May 2017 and August 2017. The analysis shows that the participants experienced five areas and 21 categories of psychological difficulties. In detail, they experience psychological states (anxiety and tense, regret and guilt, depression, sense of inferiority, low confidence and self-esteem, health concern, concentration failure), physical states (headache and muscle pain, insomnia, fatigue, gastrointestinal system discomfort, attention problems), personality and developmental states (passive/dependent/introverted/avoidant, low tolerance for uncertainty, perfectionism, delayed puberty), environmental and cultural states (high expectations of families, economic difficulties, grievance with being a woman in the job market), and assistance need for employment preparation (support groups, job preparation studies, religious beliefs, advice from seniors, and aid for job preparation expense). Clinical interventions in the difficulties faced by college students preparing for employment and the limitations and suggestions for follow-up studies are written based on the results of this research.
