환경 인쇄물을 활용한 언어활동이 유아의 인쇄물 개념 및 읽기·쓰기 흥미에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 환경 인쇄물을 활용한 언어활동이 유아의 인쇄물 개념 및 읽기 쓰기 흥미에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 G시 I유치원 만5세 유아 40명(실험집단: 20명, 비교집단: 20명)을 대상으로 실시하였다. 실험집단은 환경 인쇄물을 활용한 언어활동을 실시하였으며, 비교집단은 누리과정에 의한 언어활동을 실시하였다. 실험처치는 5월 8일부터 6월 29일까지 1주에 2회, 8주간 16회를 실시하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 프로그램을 활용하여 사전검사를 공변인으로 하고 사후검사 점수에 대하여 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 환경 인쇄물을 활용한 언어활동을 실시한 실험집단이 비교집단보다 인쇄물 개념과 하위요소인 상급인쇄물 개념, 인쇄물 관례, 인쇄물의 순서에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 환경 인쇄물을 활용한 언어활동을 실시한 실험집단이 읽기흥미와 하위요소인 읽기에 대한 즐거움, 읽기의 가치 및 중요성, 읽기에 대한 자기효능감 그리고 쓰기흥미와 하위요소인 쓰기에 대한 흥미, 쓰기의 가치 및 중요성, 쓰기에 대한 자기효능감에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 환경 인쇄물이 유아의 인쇄물 개념과 읽기·쓰기 흥미를 촉진시킬 수 있는 언어활동임을 알 수 있었으며, 유아교육기관에서 환경 인쇄물을 언어교육 매체로 활용할 기초자료가 될 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to The effect of Literacy Activities with Using Environmental Print on Young Children s Concepts about Print and Reading and Writing interests. The subjects of study were 40 students(experimental group: 20, control group: 20) in 2 classes of 5-years-old children in I kindergarten in G-City. and this study was conducted in the order of the preliminary experiment, teacher training, pre-test, experimental treatment and post-test. Experimental groups performed language activities using environmental prints, and the control group performed language activities by using native language processes. Data were analyzed by covariance analysis (ANCOVA) using the SPSS program. The results of this study were as follows: First, the experimental groups using environmental prints were found to be more effective than control group in terms of concepts about printed, subordinate element of advanced print concept, printed convention, and order of prints. Second, it is shown that, the experimental group children the effect of reading literacy on the reading comprehension, the pleasure of reading, the value and importance of reading, the self-efficacy of reading and writing interest, and the self-efficacy. The results of this study suggest that the environmental prints are a language activity that can promote the concepts about print of young children and the reading and writing interest, early childhood education institutions will be the basic data to use environmental prints as a medium for language education.
