간호대학생의 공감능력 수준과 영향요인

국문 초록

본 연구는 간호대학생의 공감능력 수준과 영향요인을 확인하여 공감능력 향상을 위한 교육 및 프로그램 개발의 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. 본 연구는 서술적 조사연구이며, 연구의 대상자는 2개 시 소재 간호학과에 재학 중인 학생 201명이 었다. 자료는 2018년 9월 17일부터 10월 01일까지 자가보고식 설문조사를 통해 수집되었고 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구결과 공감능력에 영향을 미치는 일반적 특성은 성별과 현재건강상태이고 공감능력과 정서조절, 자아탄 력성, 의사소통능력 간 상관관계는 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났으며, 간호대학생의 정서조절이 잘 될수록, 자아탄력성이 높을수록, 의사소통능력이 좋을수록 공감능력이 높음을 확인할 수 있었다. 간호대학생의 공감능력을 설명하는 주요 변수는 의사 소통능력, 정서조절, 자아탄력성, 성별, 현재건강상태이었고 이들 변수들이 공감능력을 21.6% 설명하였으며, 이중 가장 영향력이 큰 변수는 의사소통능력으로 나타났다. 간호대학생의 공감능력을 향상시키기 위해서는 교육과정에서 문제중심학습, 시뮬레이션 교육, 임상실습 교육 등을 통하여 정서조절, 자아탄력성, 의사소통능력의 향상을 도모해야 하며, 대상자의 특성에 맞는 공감능력 증진 프로그램 개발 및 이에 대한 활용을 제언한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the level of empathy and the influencing factors of nursing students. This study is a descriptive research study. The participants of this study were 201 students who are studying at two municipal nursing departments. Data were collected from September 17, 2018 to October 01, 2018 using self-report questionnaires and analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 program. The results of this study showed that the correlation between empathy, emotional regulation, ego-resilience and communication skills was statistically significant. The higher the nursing students emotional regulation, ego-resilience, communication skills, the higher the empathy. The main variables explaining empathy of nursing students were communication skills, emotional regulation, ego-resilience, gender, current health status, and these variables explained empathy by 21.6%, and the most significant variables were communication skills. In order to improve empathy of nursing students, emotional regulation, ego-resilience, and communication skills should be improved through problem-based learning, simulation training, and clinical practice education in the curriculum, and suggests the use of it.
