국문 초록

본 연구는 지금까지의 학교교육과정이 분과적인 측면에서 학습자들의 인지적인 능력 개발에 치우친 점에 주목하였다. 앞으로의 교육과정은 지식의 스코프와 시퀀스 가 심화된 상황에서도 학생들에게 발전적인 학습 경험을 보장하고, 미래의 삶과 직 업에서 성공적으로 살아가도록 해야 한다는 문제의식에서 출발하였다. 이와 같은 교 육과정상의 문제점을 극복하기 위해 본 연구는 내러티브를 활용한 주제중심 통합단 원의 개발로 학습자들의 역량을 신장하는데 관심을 두었다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 내 러티브에 기초한 통합의 의미, 내러티브에 기초한 교수․학습과 역량 함양의 의미를 탐구하였으며, 내러티브를 활용한 주제중심 통합단원의 모형을 구안하여 단계별 절 차를 세분화하여 제시하였다. 이 새로운 단원 개발 방식은 학생들의 삶과 경험에 근 거하여 교육과정의 ‘적절성’을 구현하면서도 국가수준 교육과정의 기준에 충실하여 교육과정의 ‘책무성’을 다하도록 해준다. 이러한 새로운 방안은 미래 사회를 살아가 는 모든 학생들에게 요구되는 중요한 역량을 함양해 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

What should school curriculum do to prepare our students in knowledge-based society? Because of knowledge and information has been exploding, students are requested to integrated the curriculum in order to live. There are many studies about integrated curriculum, thematic units, but few studies the thematic-based integrated units through narrative. So the purpose of this study is to develop the thematic-based integrated units through narrative. The thematic-based integrated units may guarantee the relevance and the accountability of the school curriculum. Curriculum of relevance means students interest should be reflected in class and curriculum of accountability means the policies and objectives of national curriculum should be realized in class. The thematic-based integrated units through narrative will reflect the students interests and objectives of national curriculum. Also, competencies are the totality of the knowledge, skills, personality through the researcher s of thesis. If the students learn the themetic-based integrated units through narrative, students improve their competency. In conclusion, the development of the thematic-based integrated units through narrative in education and class will show positive and significant effects.
